Today's tenant spotlight introduces you Jennifer Johnson, co-owner of the James Beard semifinalist-helmed restaurant The General Muir at The Point!
The General Muir is a modern American restaurant inspired by classic New York Jewish deli with elevates delicatessen favorites. They are open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, and offer an espresso bar serving locally-roasted Batdorf & Bronson Coffee Roasters coffee as well as a full bar of wine, beer, spirits, and cocktails.
Fun Facts about Jennifer and The General Muir:
⭐Jennifer didn't start out in the restaurant industry. Prior to taking a leap of faith to explore her dream of working in the hospitality industry, Jennifer worked for 7 years at the law firm, King & Spalding. It was an advertisement seeking restaurant franchisees in a window reignited Jennifer's flame of passion for hospitality, and ultimately propelled her to make a dramatic career transition.
⭐The restaurant gets its name from a ship that arrived in New York post–World War II. It carried Jennifer's mother and grandparents.
⭐Next door to The General Muir at is TGM Bread and TGM Soup Co. pairing fresh baked breads and soups for a quick lunch, as well as loaves to take home. TGM Bread bakes all of the bread daily for both locations and many other restaurants around town!
is open on Tuesdays from 8AM - 2PM and Wednesday - Sunday from 8AM - 8:30PM. They are closed on Mondays (⬅️ only until they have more staff)
