Happy National Book Lovers Day! 📚❤️

It’s been five weeks since we closed the doors to Susansnaps (and oh we miss you), but The Cookie Cure lives on.

One of the sweetest things is that we continue to hear from readers who have found our story, shared it with someone they love, or simply needed its message at just the right time. That means more to us than we can say.

Our story began with cancer, cookies, family, faith and a finding joy even when life doesn’t go according to plan. All these years later, we still believe in that message just as much - you’re stronger than you think. You can choose to carry on with a smile.

Heading into our final two weeks... ❤️🍪 We’re still baking, packing, shipping, and spreading cheer with gingersnaps!

Thank you for the incredible response to our news. We’ve laughed, cried, smiled, and read every note. Your kindness has been a gift.

The ovens are on, the cookies are deliciously fresh, shop is open, gifts are shipping and we’re soaking in every moment!!! We’re grateful for every order, story, and sweet memory shared along the way.

And yes... we’re still baking. 😊🍪 Orders close June 20.

After 22 wonderful years, Mom and I have made the difficult — but heartfelt — decision to close Susansnaps. ❤️🍪 While this decision is emotional, we know it’s the right one.

Not because something is wrong...but because everything feels right.

Thank you for being part of the Susansnaps story. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your celebrations, holidays, cancer journeys, losses, and so many moments in between.

If Susansnaps ever made you or someone you love feel a little less alone...then our mission is complete.

June 4th has always been a meaningful date in our family.
It’s the anniversary of my Aunt Sue’s death. She was just 28 years old when she died from Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I was named in her memory. 💗

Years later, June 4th became the day I started chemotherapy for the same cancer.

If there’s one thing my mom and I have learned, it’s that life’s hardest chapters often become the ones that shape us most.

What began as a mom helping her daughter through cancer treatment eventually became Susansnaps—a business built on sharing comfort, encouragement, and a little sweetness with others.

Today, we’re remembering Aunt Sue with gratitude and reflecting on the ways difficult seasons can grow into something beautiful.

Aunt Sue’s legacy was one of quiet courage, grace, and a smile. We hope to carry that forward in all we do. 💗
