Hi FL fam! It’s Katreena here. Big Announcement! I’ve been away for the past few months as I embarked on my own “Eat, Pray, Love” moment. Through meditation, reflection, and prayer, I have decided to no longer operate Flour Lane Dessert Studio. Moving forward, I will only be baking for close family and close friends. While I have loved every moment I have spent creating cakes, cupcakes, and other desserts for my beautiful clients, it has been very taxing on me physically, and subsequently the joy I had for baking slowly started to drift away.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Sharing Flour Lane was a huge act of courage for me and I have loved every moment of this. I’ve created cakes that have even blown my mind and this has been a only glimpse of what God wants to do with my gifts. I am excited about what’s next as I embark on a passion project that I’ve had for quite some time now. ⁣
⁣⁣
I thank all of you for your support and for going on this journey with me. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU that has purchased from me, liked, shared, commented on my work and supported me in some way holds a special place in my heart. It’s safe to say that I’ll be asking what day it is for the rest of the week. 🙈 I wouldn’t take my vacation day back for anything though. I really enjoyed this Memorial Day weekend. I hope that y’all did too! 💓 ⁣⁣

This is a cream tart adorned with all things fabulous AKA flowers, meringues, macarons and edible gold leaf.⁣
⁣
I love cream tarts because they taste like simple bliss. It truly gives cake vibes but it’s really a shortbread butter pastry cookie (I know it’s complicated). You just have to taste it to see. 😋

It’s Wednesday so I figured it’s a great day to post this cake from the beautiful and intimate wedding of Dominique and Jack last October. 👰🏾 🤵🏾‍♂️ We went for an extra tall two tiered wedding cake - inside we have one tier of chocolate cake and one tier of strawberry. 🎂 Congratulations again you two! 💕

So many of you have trusted me to be a part of your celebrations - the dinners, the drop ins, the surprises, the intimate gatherings, the weddings, the virtual showers ✨ - I am so humbled that I could share those moments with you in some way. This is a 6 inch space inspired cake filled with funfetti cake layers and vanilla buttercream. My clients have been taking me out of my comfort zone lately and I love it. 🎂
