💜 Well… this is a post we were really hoping not to have to write again so soon.

Unfortunately, the repairs to our walk-in cooler didn’t hold, so we’ll be temporarily closed through Sunday, including missing this weekend’s Peachtree Road Farmers Market, while it’s fixed properly and everything is brought back up to the standard our guests expect from us.

We know this isn’t the first time we’ve had to share news like this, and we want to be transparent about it. It’s frustrating for us too, and we completely understand it’s frustrating for you.

As always, our priority is food safety and quality. As much as we’d love to keep the ovens on, we won’t take shortcuts when it comes to what we serve.

While we’re closed, the Flaky team will be deep cleaning, reorganizing, and getting the shop ready for an even stronger reopening. We’ll be making the most of the downtime so we’re ready to hit the ground running when the cooler is.

Melissa stopped by for breakfast, and her visit pretty much summed up everything we hope Flaky feels like.

She found her perfect breakfast sandwich (on one of our flaky croissants, of course 😋), discovered her first sconut, chatted with Anna and Miguel, and left calling us a hidden gem.

⚽🥐 The world’s biggest soccer tournament is finally here, and Atlanta’s first match is today!

If you’re in town for the matches (or something else or a local we haven’t seen yet), come discover one of our favorite local traditions: the Sconut 🍩🔺 (half scone, half donut, all delicious).

The Atlanta Stadium (Mercedes-Benz Stadium 🤫) was recently ranked the top venue for the tournament, probably because it’s amazing... and because they didn’t suddenly decide water should cost $17. We respect that 🙌

We take the same approach. Great food. Fair prices. Friendly vibes.

Fuel up with a sconut, breakfast sandwich, coffee, or lemonade before heading out to explore the city!
