Thanks to all of you who stopped at our booth last Saturday for some bagna cauda during the Athens Farmers Market. We enjoyed sharing this bit of family culture with everyone. All of you made the 1st Bagna Cauda Day in Athens a great success. Thanks ever so much. We're already pondering a return in 2024.

The Molina Family Bakery event was picked up by official Bagna Cauda Day social media in Italy, and they give the AFM a mention. Check out their post above and give the page a "like." Learn about the long bagna cauda dinners during which each diner is served the dip in an individual, heated crock called a fujot. We are having ideas about next year. . . Tell your friends.

As a thank you to our friends at the Athens Farmers Market, Molina Family Bakery brings northern Italy’s most fragrant and delicious Autumn event to Athens. Stop by our booth at the market on Saturday, Nov. 4, for Bagna Cauda Day! As a gift to our customers, we’ll be preparing and sampling this most iconic dish from the Italian region of Piemonte.

Little known in the United States even among Italian-Americans, bagna cauda is a hot dip and a traditional culinary treat brought to the USA in the first decade of the 20th century when the family emigrated from San Damiano d’Asti, Piemonte in northern Italy. Made with extra virgin olive oil, butter, red wine, tomato, anchovy, and lots and lots of garlic, bagna cauda is the most fragrant and amazing umami experience imaginable. We’ll be preparing our family recipe, which we still make today for large family gatherings. Have a sample while in the bread queue or drop by our booth any time until the bagna cauda runs out.
