My “warning“ essay: 😂 Ok, so, here it goes:
⚠️ WARNING: You Are About to Meet Shannon. ⚠️
She is going to ask approximately 47 questions about something she “just wants to look at real quick.”
Do not be fooled by the phrase, “I think that’s everything I can think of right now.”
It is not. 😂
She can go from criminal justice, digital forensics, and OSINT to dog treats, horse treats, cake pops, Excel formulas, logos, résumés, Bible verses, and whether eucalyptus is too green without so much as a transitional sentence.
If she says:
“I like it.”
Good—but you’re not finished.
“Yes! That’s it!”
Excellent—but you’re probably still not finished.
“One tiny thing…”
Cancel your afternoon. 😂
She has a particular vision. She may not know exactly what that vision is until she sees what it isn’t, but once she sees what she wants, she KNOWS.
She is sentimental, faith-centered, animal-loving, family-oriented, creative, stubborn in the useful way, and remarkably determined. She returned to college after more than 20 years, earned her bachelor’s degree, and then apparently decided graduate school wasn’t enough trouble, so she added digital forensics too.
She will absolutely worry over whether a résumé bullet has the exact right wording and then, five minutes later, be designing packaging for homemade dog biscuits.
There are dogs. There are horses. There is a cat. There is a husband. There are spreadsheets. So many spreadsheets.
At any given moment, she has roughly 16 projects underway, 11 ideas she hasn’t told you about yet, and one project she suddenly remembers:
“WAIT. Where is that thing we made before?” 😂
She loves deeply. She takes things personally because things matter to her. If you’re one of her people—or apparently one of her animals—she’s going to show up for you.
She is also incapable of doing something halfway.
A simple résumé becomes a master résumé system.
A home bakery becomes Covered with Blessings, complete with branding, a Barkery, animal products, packaging plans, ingredient databases, recipe costing, color palettes, logos, and enough Excel infrastructure to qualify as a small ERP system.
And whatever you do…
DO NOT MAKE IT ORANGE. 😂
Also, if you’re working on the Covered with Blessings logo, for the love of everything holy:
Do. Not. Change. The. Leaves.
She noticed.
She always notices. 🤣
Final warning:
Shannon will probably overwhelm you a little at first.
Then she’ll make you laugh.
Then she’ll tell you about something she’s working toward, someone she loves, an animal she’s worried about, a business idea she had at 11:47 p.m., or something she wants to accomplish that somebody else might have decided was too late to start.
And eventually you’ll realize:
She’s not “too much.”
She’s just got a lot of life she still intends to live.
And you’d better keep up. ❤️😂
Also, posting in the first comment in case it gets lost here somehow.
