Tonight in the Porchlight kitchen, we're making homemade McRib-style sandwiches, baked beans, and a side salad!

I know, I know. We're supposed to be the people who make baked goods on steroids, but there's a whole lot more cooking going on in this kitchen than just cakes, cookies, and brownies.

I've always loved making good, homemade comfort food, and sometimes I think it's just as much fun sharing what's for dinner as it is sharing what we're baking.

So here's tonight's question: If Porchlight had a dinner menu, would a McRib-style sandwich dinner be something you'd order?

Because you never know what kind of crazy ideas are cooking up in this kitchen!

Well, Mother Nature had other plans for the Night Market, so unfortunately, tonight's event has been canceled. But don't worry, they're planning to reschedule!

In the meantime, Porchlight Kitchen will be hanging out at Fetching Finds tomorrow, Saturday, October 17th, for their Grand Opening, along with some of our food truck friends; Stewy’s Hogs & Dogs, BurgAlicious and maybe Squeez'd.

Now, here's the important part: WE'RE HIDING IN THE BACK!

Not intentionally, of course, but because the front parking lot is a little too small for all of us.

Here's how to find us:

Driving? Take Dickinson Rd. and enter through the Fetching Finds donation drop-off area.

Parking out front? Head inside Fetching Finds, do a little shopping, and come out the back door. We'll be waiting!

Come support a wonderful organization, check out their new thrift store, grab some food, and hang out with us!

We are here! The display case is full, and I'm ready to go! Unfortunately, today I am a bit hidden, but if you come down Dickinson Rd and into the Fetching Finds Drop-off, you can find me behind Fetching Finds! I am down here with Blowing SMOKE BBQ and Knights Who Knead and FYI, Blowing Smoke had brisket and the Knights have Peach Bourbon Pizza! I, on the other hand, have my new Pumpkin Creme Brulee Cinnamon Rolls. Stop down and see us, can't wait to see you!

Well, it looks like Porchlight is going to be a little busy this week, LOL.

We've got FOUR events in FOUR days, and apparently I thought that was a perfectly reasonable idea.

So, if you're looking to get your hands on some Porchlight goodies, here's where you can find us!

**Thursday, October 15** (4pm-7pm) – Fetching Finds in Ashtabula for their soft launch. All the proceeds from this thrift store will go to the APL. I will be teaming up with Blowing SMOKE BBQ and Knights Who Knead for this event!

**Friday, October 16** (3pm-8pm) – Our last Night Market of the season! Stop down and Evies Luau Food Truck, Squeez'd, BurgAlicious, of course, us, and some vendors!

**Saturday, October 17** (10am-5pm)– Fetching Finds Grand Opening in Ashtabula! I will be teaming up with Squeez'd, BurgAlicious and Stewy’s Hogs & Dogs for this event!

**Sunday, October 18** (7pm-9pm) – Trunk, Treat and Halloween Eats at Grandpa Pizzi's Place in Conneaut. We will have Dr. Dolittle's House Wildlife Rehab Center taking donations for their center (list will be up soon), Cooper’s Texas Filipino Smokehouse, Squeez'd, Stewy’s Hogs & Dogs, and a blow-up maze from Maze Mania.

And because I apparently don't know how to make normal baked goods anymore, I've been working on some pretty ridiculous flavors for this week.

We've got giant cinnamon rolls, loaded cookies, cakes, mini breads, and a few other things that probably shouldn't work together, but somehow do.

I'll be posting our menus separately so you can see what kind of trouble I've gotten myself into this time.

We're getting close to wrapping up food truck season, so I'd love to see some familiar faces and hopefully meet a few new ones along the way!

We're at 680 followers!!

I have a little goal I'd love to reach before food truck season comes to an end. I want to see if we can get Porchlight Kitchen to 1,000 followers!

If you've been following us for a while, you already know we don't exactly do ordinary baked goods around here. I've always said our stuff is basically baked goods on steroids.

We take your favorite desserts, throw in a little nostalgia, a whole lot of creativity, and occasionally make you question what on earth goes on in my kitchen.

But that's what makes Porchlight, well, Porchlight!

So if you've tried our goodies, stopped by our little camper, or just enjoy seeing what ridiculous thing I come up with next, I'd love it if you'd share our page and invite your friends to follow along.

We've got 320 more people to find before we hit that 1,000 mark!

This bright haired girlie doesn't stop, LOL! I am baking some cakes for tomorrow (10-12). You can find me and my friends Squeez'd and Blowing SMOKE BBQ in the Ashtabula Harbor, on the corner of West 9th and Lake Ave, in the old Great Lakes Auto parking lot from 11am-5pm. Stop down and grab some delicious BBQ, a lemonade/dirty soda, and find out what kind of craziness has been occupying the Porchlight Kitchen. Can't wait to see you!

Well, Saybrook Plaza... you guys definitely showed up tonight!!

Our second Trunk, Treat & Halloween Eats is officially in the books, and holy cow, what a turnout! Tonight was even bigger than Smith Field!

I want to thank everyone who came out, brought their kiddos, decorated trunks, handed out candy, set up as vendors, donated, volunteered or helped spread the word.

A huge thank you to Saybrook Plaza for allowing us to use their space and to everyone who helped make tonight possible.

When I first came up with the idea of doing three Trunk or Treats through the Ashtabula County Food Truck Alliance, I really had no idea what I was getting myself into. I just knew I wanted to bring our communities together and give families something fun to do.

Seeing so many people come together tonight makes all the running around, phone calls, messages and occasional moments of questioning my sanity worth it.

And a special thank you to Mr. Porchlight, who kept Porchlight Kitchen running tonight while I was busy with everything else. I couldn't do half of what I do without him.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by Porchlight tonight, too! We appreciate every single one of you.

Two events down and one more to go!

Conneaut, you're up next on October 18th at Grandpa Pizzi's Place!
