Okay, yes—I’m a little behind posting! 😂 But Daisy & Dough Bakery officially offers CAKE POPS now, too! 🎉

Featured here are:

🎂 Vanilla Birthday Cake—dipped in a creamy white coating, drizzled and finished with colorful birthday sprinkles.

🍋 Lemon—bright, sweet and lemony, dipped in yellow coating and finished with sparkling golden sugar.

They’re individually wrapped and perfect for birthdays, party favors, dessert tables, Boo Baskets or as an adorable addition to your custom cake and cupcake order!

These were our first official cake-pop flavors, but they definitely won’t be our last. 👀 Which flavor should we make next?

🍫 Oooooh, look at those muffin tops! 😍

A fresh box of our jumbo chocolate chip muffins went out from Daisy & Dough Bakery!

Soft, fluffy and loaded with chocolate chips, then finished with a light dusting of sugar and a generous chocolate drizzle—because there is absolutely no such thing as too much chocolate. 🤎

These aren’t your average little breakfast muffins. They’re big, beautiful, bakery-style muffins that make the perfect breakfast treat, afternoon pick-me-up or sweet addition to a brunch table.

🎶✨ K-POP, DISCO BALLS & BIRTHDAY MAGIC! ✨🎶

This two-tier K-Pop Demon Hunters cake was completed while I was out of town, and Lizzy absolutely understood the assignment! 💜

Lavender buttercream, holographic stars, pearls, glittering disco balls, custom character details and coordinating cake pops brought the entire design together. There is something fun and sparkly to see from every single angle—including the back! 🪩⭐

The bottom tier was vanilla sponge, the top tier was chocolate sponge, and the entire cake was finished with our vanilla buttercream.

Thank you so much for trusting Daisy & Dough Bakery to be part of another special birthday celebration! We hope the birthday girl loved her cake as much as we loved bringing it to life. 💜

🌱💙 A NEW CHAPTER IS GROWING… 💙🌱

Sometimes we get an order that gives us the chance to really let our creativity run wild—and THIS was one of them. 🥕✨

We were asked to create a carrot cake for a very special lady who loves her garden, is expecting a sweet baby boy, and is preparing to close one chapter of her life as she heads into maternity leave and begins a brand-new adventure at home.

So naturally… we grew her a garden. 🥹🌱

🥕 An 8-inch square Carrot Sponge Cake
🤍 Our tangy Mock Cream Cheese Buttercream
🌱 A rustic semi-naked finish
🥕 Handcrafted carrots tucked into edible “soil”
🪴 Handcrafted edible terracotta flowerpots
👣 Edible molded-sugar baby footprints
🤎 Edible garden fencing
🌼 Blue flowers and greenery
💙 Tiny baby booties
🐰 The sweetest little bunnies and baby carriage
💙 And at the center of it all: “Next Chapter”

But here’s what you can’t tell from the pictures…

Almost this ENTIRE little garden is edible. 🤯

The terracotta pots? Edible.
The baby footprints? Edible sugar molds.
The fence? Edible.
The carrots? Edible.
The flowers? Edible.
And even the DIRT is CAKE. 😂🥕🌱

Instead of using crushed cookies or brown sugar for the garden soil, we saved the trimmed edges of our carrot sponge and finely grated them. Not only did it create the PERFECT realistic garden soil, it kept the flavor completely on-theme and meant not one delicious cake trimming went to waste.

The only non-edible pieces are the carrot greenery, baby booties, bunnies and baby carriage—everything else was created as part of the edible design. 💙

And underneath that little garden is something we’re incredibly excited about…

🥕 Our new Carrot Sponge Cake.

We took everything we love about carrot cake—fresh carrots, golden & traditional raisins and warm spices—and transformed it into a lighter, beautifully aerated sponge, then paired it with our tangy mock cream cheese buttercream.

But our favorite part isn’t any single decoration.

It’s the story they tell together.

🌱 A garden she loves.
💙 A sweet baby boy on the way.
🚪 One chapter coming to a close.
🪴 And a beautiful new one beginning.

“Next Chapter” couldn’t have been more perfect.

This is what we love about custom cakes. Sometimes we aren’t simply decorating dessert—we get the privilege of telling someone’s story in cake, sugar, buttercream and a whole lot of imagination. 🥹💙

AI ➡️ REAL LIFE 🎂✨

Sometimes our customers bring us an inspiration photo.

Sometimes they bring us several.

And sometimes they simply tell us who the cake is for, what they love and the story they want it to tell.

That’s where the fun begins. 🌼

For this cake, we started with three things:

🌱 She loves her garden.
💙 She’s expecting a baby boy.
✨ She’s closing one chapter and beginning another.

We took those ideas, created an AI inspiration image to help visualize the concept, and then brought it to life—in our own Daisy & Dough way.

Because we never copy inspiration exactly.

Whether you bring us a photo or we create one for you, it’s a starting point. We take the elements you love, make them work in real cake and sugar, and add our own creativity along the way.

You don’t need the perfect cake picture to order a custom cake from us.

✨ FROM AN IDEA… TO INSPIRATION… TO REAL LIFE. 🎂🌱

It’s an AI-generated inspiration image we created while designing this order.

And the photos after it?

That’s what Daisy & Dough actually made. 💙🥕🌱

We wanted to share this one because it perfectly shows how our custom-design process works.

When you come to us for a cake, you absolutely do NOT have to know exactly what you want.

Maybe you have an inspiration photo you love.

Maybe you have five different photos and love one little thing from each of them.

Or maybe you don’t have a picture at all—you just have ideas.

A theme.
A favorite color.
A hobby.
A personality.
A story you want the cake to tell.

That’s enough. ❤️

For this order, we knew our recipient loved gardening, was expecting a baby boy and was getting ready to leave work after maternity leave to begin a whole new chapter of her life.

From those ideas, we created an inspiration image that brought the whole vision together.

Then we took it into the kitchen and made it REAL. 🎂

And here’s something that’s important to us:

We don’t make exact copies of inspiration photos.

Whether you bring us another baker’s cake as inspiration or we create a concept especially for you, that image is our starting point—not a blueprint.

We take the elements you love, figure out what works in actual cake and sugar, add our own Daisy & Dough creativity, and create something uniquely yours. 🌼

Sometimes the finished cake changes because something works better in real life.

Sometimes we find a better way to make a detail edible.

And sometimes an adorable bunny ends up riding around in a baby carriage. 😂🐰💙

For this one, we created edible carrots, terracotta pots, sugar baby footprints, flowers, a rustic edible fence and sign—and even turned the trimmed edges of our Carrot Sponge into realistic edible garden soil. 🥕🌱

The AI image helped us visualize the story.

But hands made the cake.

🔥 THE REVIEW IS IN… AND THIS ONE MADE OUR DAY! 🔥

When a customer tells you everyone who got a piece had the same reaction AND says:

⭐ “It was one of the best tasting cakes I’ve ever had.”
⭐ “We had a difficult time cutting into it because it was beautiful.”

THAT. 👏 IS. 👏 THE. 👏 GOAL. 👏

We don’t want you to have to choose between a cake that looks amazing and one that actually tastes amazing. We want you standing there thinking, “I really don’t want to cut this…” and then being VERY glad you did. 😂❤️

This 8” four-layer scratch vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream was a rush retirement order, and we had so much fun bringing the golf theme to life. ⛳️🎂

And maybe the biggest compliment of all? She’s already talking to us about another cake. 🥹
