Elie’s Bakery makes delicious sweet treats that are safe for people with common food allergies and intolerances. Our recipes do not use any of the top 8 allergens, and our products do not contain gluten. In addition, we use dextrose as our sweetener, so our products will not cause problems for those who are fructose intolerant. In our family, we take allergies and intolerances very seriously. If we would not feel safe serving something to our daughter, we will not serve it to you.

I wanted to share some fabulous feedback I got after the last co-op demo. Thank you, Stacey! I love that I can create some happiness in the world--one bagel at a time!

"Sorry I missed you yesterday at the Coop. Went in today and purchased one chocolate chip and a 4 pack of plain. All I can say is YUMMY!! This is by far the BEST gluten-free bread I have had, and my husband (who doesn't care for gluten-free anything) really liked them too. Very impressive! And I love that you don't use bean flours (like chickpea, etc) as they can upset my stomach.

I had a toasted sandwich made with one of the plain bagels for lunch, and it was sooo good! It really has the texture and flavor of a bagel. I will definitely be buying more.....oh, and the "Culinary helper" said I needed to come back and try the caraway, so I'll have to check that one out, too!

Thanks so much for making such a wonderful product. I'm so happy to have something I can eat and still feel good afterwards, and support a friend and local business! Win, win, win!! :) Oh, and did I mention they are YUMMY!? (yes, but it was worth mentioning again!).

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by at the co-op today! It was fun to see everyone and to have you all try the bagels. I hope you enjoyed them.

Rye bagels are a no-no for gluten free people, so I am going to try making a gluten free version with caraway. If you'd like to try them, I'm going to do another demo with samples on Saturday, October 12, from 5-7 pm. Come down and tell me what you think!

We have bagels at the Ashland Co-op! I'm making both plain and chocolate chip. They are gluten free, vegan, and free of the top 8 allergens. I'll be doing a demo with samples on Thursday, October 3, from 12 to 2. I hope you can come down, try a bagel, and say hello!
