Y’ALL!!! An amazing thing just happened!!
On Tuesday evening, I dropped my my bestest friend’s house for a visit. When I walked in, her husband looked at me and said, “Ummm, I meant to call you the other day…”
So I asked him what was going on, and he told me that the company he works for, Rock On Ice, had sold a SUPERB package of beautifully crafted ice to Great American Ballpark, home of the legendary Cincinnati Reds!! Since he loves my cookies, he thought that would be a unique “Thank You” gift for his new customer. Being me, I said, ”Sure I’ll do it! When do you need them?”
And my heart sank when he said, “Tomorrow!” A thousand thoughts raced thru my mind and I tried to make a plan that I knew I could work with and meet the deadline. We formulated a plan on the quantity and design, and I ran with it, in a VERY short turn-around timeframe.
It may have cost me most of a nights sleep, and he may have gotten more cookies than he bargained for, but given the insurmountable odds, I am tickled pink at the results!!
My love for these two people is immeasurable. They’ve seen thru some of the toughest times of my life and done nothing but stuck by side and helped in any way they could. I would move mountains for them, so 2 dozen cookies on the fly is just a labor of love.
I truly hope the culinary team and executives he is meeting with today enjoy them!! **Cue Anxiety**
