Last year I got an offer I couldn’t refuse, to be an assistant at AJ’s sweet little school, Pisgah Elementary! It was a half time gig, and to be honest I was thrilled at the opportunity to keep an eye on him and be there if he needed me. I ended up falling head over heels in love with the job, the kiddos and my coworkers.

I had full intentions on opening the bakery back up this fall while I kept the half time position, but a full time spot was offered to me in First grade and I’m thrilled to have taken it. I miss the bakery so much, but my cup is so full working in the school and embracing my first love, Elementary Education.

We’re super excited to start the new school year tomorrow and I hope all of you and your kiddos have a great year as well! I’ll keep you updated on any bakery news but for now, we’re still on hold! Here’s to a new year and another new adventure!

Winds of change are blowing wild at The Cookie Kit!

I’ve decided to concentrate on offering you cookies in a slightly different way!

Although I love seeing our regulars walk through those bakery doors, I’ve made the extremely tough decision to close the walk in cookie case shopping experience for now.

It’s solely yours truly running the bakery this Holiday season and as most of you already know, we’re trying hard for a baby B and have our hands full with our already wonderfully different AJ! The tug for me to be more present at home is pulling at my heartstrings now more than ever. Starting The Cookie Kit has been such a passion project for me and I’ve poured every spare second of the last few years into it. I know finding a work/home balance will make it that much sweeter!

I’m not cutting off your cookie supply cold Turkey though, not to worry!

Starting in November I’ll have plenty of Holiday Options and events for you to choose from, I welcome corporate custom orders and am still excited to sprinkle Holiday Cookie Cheer into your lives!

Thank you for being the best customers in the world and for riding the cookie roller coaster with me! I’ll love you forever!
