I need to make some of these and maybe add/sub white choc chips
Maraschino Cherry Chocolate Chip Cookies 🍒🍫
If you love a classic chocolate chip cookie but want something a little different, this is the one to try. They come together quick, bake up beautifully, and stay soft for days (if they last that long).
Ingredients
• 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1 cup brown sugar, packed
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 1 large egg
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 3/4 cup maraschino cherries, chopped and patted dry
• 1 cup chocolate chips - I use dark chocolate, but use what you love
⸻
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.
3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
6. Gently fold in the chopped maraschino cherries and chocolate chips.
7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are just set.
9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Country Diva Tips
• Make sure to pat those cherries dry—extra juice can make your cookies spread too much.
• Room temperature butter makes all the difference for that soft, fluffy texture.
• Don’t overbake—these cookies should stay soft and chewy in the center.
