Inverse puff pastry, rich frangipane, special egg wash, and shiny glaze. This is the traditional pastry to celebrate Epiphany (January 6), marking the end of the Christmas season. We're making these every day through the rest of January. It's a flaky flaky French cake made with puff pastry and filled with almond cream and a hidden prize, traditionally a trinket, a dried fava bean, or a whole almond.

This year we are so happy that Abby and Eric of offered to make our fèves. Normally Myrth makes gorgeous tableware (even seen at some of the nicest restaurants and bars around town), but they decided to take a little detour and have fun with this custom project. They’ve crafted the most beautiful hand-shaped porcelain fava beans, uniquely glazed, and so pleasing to look at and hold in your hand. We here at Breadboard are huge bean fans, and same at Myrth.

Our Thanksgiving preorder menu is live! We've also partnered with for ice cream pints to go with your pies.

Our pies will be available for pickup at both Honeycomb and , which will be available for purchase through their websites.

Deadline for our preorders is 2pm Sunday 11/16. Items may sell out prior to the deadline, so plan sooner than later. Holiday items are available for pickup Sunday 11/23 and Wednesday 11/26.

And we'll have a limited amount of most items available for day-of purchase in case you have extra guests at your table.

This Sunday 6/8 we'll be in Cambridge, selling our bread and pastry at the Elmendorf street fair, rain or shine, 12-4pm....

This Sunday 6/8 we'll be in Cambridge, selling our bread and pastry at the Elmendorf street fair, rain or shine, 12-4pm. It's a fun event with a lot of good food and local businesses.

We will be CLOSED in Arlington Sunday 6/8.

We're also entering our croissant in the professional baking category. Wish us luck!

Galettes des rois 2025!

Inverted puff pastry, filled with frangipane and one of these adorable ceramic fèves, handmade by Kate at . Banana, heirloom tomato, goldfish, hen, brie, penguin, roll of film, croissant, strawberry. All so cute!

This year we will include fèves in both 6" and 9" galettes (9" galettes will also include a paper crown).

Available Fridays and Sundays in January.
