So there’s a story behind this Elmo cookie…I was asked by one of my girLS to make Elmo cookies for her daughter’s 2nd birthday. I immediately told her these were beyond my skill set and was prepared to send her elsewhere. However, her response was one I wasn’t ready for. Sis said, “I’ve seen your skillset, you can do this!” Baby, who can??😳

After trying to get out of making said cookies, she says, “You can’t perfect your craft if you don’t craft!” 🙊 I mean, checked me! She ended the conversation with, “Iron sharpens iron. You do your best, and God will do the rest.” Needless to say, the order was placed. To my shock and dismay, I freehanded these cookies, and this is the finished product.

Lesson: Don’t discount yourself or downplay what God has placed in you, whether due to fear, laziness, complacency, or wanting to blend in. Happy Saturday, everybody!
