Dear Friends and Customers,
It’s with a mix of gratitude and heavy emotion that I share some important news: I will not be renewing the lease for my bakery, and I will be closing my doors this August.
This decision was not made lightly. I’ve spent a great deal of time in prayer and reflection, and the answer has remained clear. While the bakery has been a successful venture and one that I’ve poured my heart into, the reality is that maintaining it has come at a great personal cost.
Since opening, I’ve struggled to balance the demands of being a business owner, wife, stay-at-home mom, and person responsible for keeping our household and finances running smoothly. I’ve come to realize that I simply cannot continue doing all of these roles and do them well. Something has to give — and I’ve chosen to prioritize my family and my health.
Additionally, the building housing the bakery has been sold, and with that comes a rent increase. While that alone is not the deciding factor, it has affirmed that this is the right time to step away.
I am so grateful for every single one of you who has supported this dream — whether by walking through the doors, ordering a dessert, or simply offering encouragement. Serving you has been a true honor, and I will carry these memories with me always.
If you currently have an order scheduled with me through the end of the year, please be on the lookout for a message from me soon regarding the status of your order.
At this time, I’m still undecided on whether or not I’ll return to baking from home in the future. I promise to share an update before the bakery officially closes.
As I wind things down, please note that my hours will be reduced. From now until the end of August, the bakery will be open on Fridays from 12 PM to 5 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM to 12 PM.
Thank you for everything.
