On Wednesday and Thursday of this week, Council Member Andrew King and Council Member Dale Edwards attended the 2025 Regional Orientation Training at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville.

This training is provided by the Alabama League of Municipalities (ALM) and aims to help new Mayors and Council Members transition into their new role. Lecture topics included Municipal Finances, Council Meeting Procedures, General Powers of Municipalities, and Duties of the Mayor and Council, just to name a few.

In addition, the Council Members were able to learn about proposed bills for the 2026 Legislative Session that may affect Ardmore. They met with representatives of different divisions of the ALM, as well as third-party vendors to learn about how their services may benefit Ardmore. They also were able to meet with Mayors and Council Members from all across North Alabama to discuss different issues.

Thank you to the Alabama League of Municipalities for providing a quality event!
