🎄🍪 A little Christmas cheer has been baking in the Steel Sweets kitchen!

Meet our Christmas Confetti Cookies—festive red and green sprinkles, a sparkling sugar topping, and wonderfully chewy centers with just the right touch of crisp around the edges. 🤎

I’ve been busy testing (and taste-testing… somebody has to do it! 😉) to get these just right for the holiday season.

Well, it’s been a little quiet around here! Life has been a full mixing bowl lately, but Steel Sweets is still here and I’m getting ready for my favorite baking season. 🍂🥧

The kitchen will be busy with cozy holiday treats before you know it. Keep an eye out for the Thanksgiving menu drop coming soon! I can’t wait to share what’s baking. 🤎

🫐🍩 Something new is happening in the Steel Sweets kitchen…

Today’s project: developing a Blueberry Donut Cookie. 👀

And this is one of my favorite parts of baking, taking an idea that sounds really good in my head and figuring out how to make it work in real life. 😂

The goal? A soft, bakery-style cookie with all those blueberry-donut vibes packed into one seriously good bite.

But before anything earns a permanent spot on the Steel Sweets menu, it has to survive the test kitchen first. That means adjusting the recipe, watching the bake, checking the texture, tasting it once it’s completely cooled… and probably convincing myself that eating another one is strictly for “quality control.” 🤣

If this one turns out the way I’m hoping, y’all may be seeing a brand new Steel Sweets flavor soon. 🫐🍪

💙🦖 A little jungle adventure for Jaxon! 🦖💙

This one was so much fun to bring to life! A classic vanilla cake covered in silky Swiss meringue buttercream, finished with a bright blue piped border and a custom edible image featuring Bluey, Bingo, and one very friendly dinosaur. 🌿🐾

And yes… the entire picture on top is edible! 🤯

I love getting to take a customer’s idea and turn it into something made especially for their celebration.

Every business has that one employee who’s been around forever…

Meet the Senior Mixing Specialist at Steel Sweets. 😂

She’s 13 years old, has been working here since before Steel Sweets was even Steel Sweets, and has never once requested a vacation day.

She’s mixed birthday cakes, cookies, pies, buttercream, late-night baking experiments, and probably a few recipes we’ve all agreed never to speak of again. 🤣

Her benefits package includes:
🍪 First access to cookie dough
🧁 Unlimited buttercream splatters
💚 A permanent spot on the counter
😅 And absolutely no retirement plan

She may not be the biggest mixer in the kitchen anymore, but around here, seniority means something.

Remember the chocolate cake you watched coming together? Here she is all finished — and Michy even sent me a picture of the inside! 😍🍫

Four layers of Triple Chocolate Cake, filled and covered with rich chocolate buttercream and finished with a sleek black drip. 🖤🎂

And that second picture… those layers! 🤎
