🎂 From the invitation… to the dessert table. ❤️

When I was asked to make desserts for Cyn’s backyard BBQ birthday party, I knew we needed something that would be easy to display, easy to serve, and easy for guests to grab while enjoying the party.

So instead of a traditional birthday cake, I recommended 40 individually sealed cake cup and then designed the entire look around her black-and-red birthday invitation.

And of course, we had to make the inside just as good as the outside. 🤎

Each “Cynfully Chocolate” cake cup was filled with chocolate cake with a hint of espresso, rich fudge filling, and chocolate buttercream.

I even custom-designed the labels to coordinate with her invitation, because those little details are one of my favorite parts of creating an order. 🥰

I love being able to take the feel of someone’s celebration and turn it into something sweet that fits the occasion.

Hi, I’m Sally, the baker behind Steel Sweets! ❤️

There have been quite a few new faces around here lately, so I thought it was time I properly introduced myself.

Steel Sweets started with something pretty simple: I love feeding people. Baking has always been one of the ways I show people I love them, and eventually that love grew into this little business.

Behind every cake, cookie and pie you see here is just me in my kitchen. Testing recipes, decorating cakes, packaging orders, occasionally wondering why I decided a particular design was a good idea 😂, and getting ridiculously excited when something turns out exactly how I pictured it.

I make everything from custom cakes and big bakery-style cookies to pies and some pretty fun specialty treats. And while I love baking all of it, one of my favorite parts is getting to create something that becomes a tiny piece of someone else’s celebration.

I’m also building Steel Sweets while working, raising my family and figuring out this whole small business thing as I go. My dream is to continue growing this into something that gives me more time with the people who matter most while still getting to do something I genuinely love.

So you’ll be seeing a little more than finished-product pictures around here from now on. ❤️

I want to bring you into the kitchen and show the decorating, recipe testing, behind-the-scenes moments, new flavors, occasional baking mishaps, and everything that goes into building Steel Sweets.
