Just in time for the summer local drag queen Shi-Queeta-Lee an Annapolis entrepreneur is fighting to preserve the state’s new
law legalizing same-sex marriage with a unique weapon: Sorbet. Christopher Yapur, owner and operator of Select Confections, is
preparing to debut a new flavor: Shi-Queeta-Lee’s OoOoOo.
The flavor, is named after a well-know D.C.-based drag queen Diva of Town Shi-Queeta-Lee, it's a watermelon sorbet pink with sparkles also designed to go well with vodka.
Yapur, who soon will begin selling his ice cream/sorbet in a few local supermarkets, bars and restaurants, plans to give some of the
proceeds from Shi-Queeta-Lee’s o0o0o0 flavor to organizations that support gay rights and same-sex marriage.
