Who doesn't love freshly baked baguettes, buttery croissants, or a sweet cinnamon roll swirled with cream cheese frosting? We sure do, and so we practice all week long to ensure that our breads and pastries are super delicious for the Farmer's Market on Sunday mornings. This here is the Volkornbrot I'm offering this week. It's a variation on Jeffrey Hamelman's recipe with Pepita's added. This 100% Rye loaf is traditionally sliced as thin as you can and served with charcuterie and fermented vegetables. Unfortunately I couldn't resist slicing into it before taking picture.
