Calling all artists, muralists & street painters! 🎨🐍🌈

The Rattan PTA is looking for creative volunteers to help bring interactive activities, games, and a sensory walk to Rattan Elementary!

We’re hoping to transform the sidewalk near the playground into a fun, engaging space for students during recess — with painted games, movement paths, sensory elements, and colorful artwork similar to the inspiration photo attached. We may also expand to the blacktop near the basketball goals if time and resources allow.

We’re currently looking for:
• Artists / muralists / street painters to help us understand the task at hand and possibly lead the project
• Donations of paint or materials
• Creative ideas for games and sensory activities

The goal is to begin this project in June so everything is ready for the next school year.

If you’re interested in volunteering your time, expertise, or supplies, please reach out! We’d love to partner with local creatives to make this a fun and meaningful space for our students and community. 💚

As the school year came to a close yesterday, our Rattan PTA was honored to celebrate and thank our incredible Rattan staff this morning with a thank yiu breakfast breakfast. 💙

We are so grateful for the dedication, care, and countless ways these amazing educators and staff members have supported our students and families throughout the year. While some are moving to new districts, beginning new careers, or staying home with their children, they will always be part of the Rattan family.

We wish each of them the very best in their next chapter and hope everyone enjoys a safe, happy, and well-deserved summer! ☀️📚✨

As we wrap up another amazing school year, your Rattan PTA Board would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all of our parents, staff, teachers, families, and volunteers for your support, encouragement, and participation throughout the year. We truly couldn’t do it without you!

Tomorrow is the last day of school, and we hope you’ll stop by our fun photo opportunity to celebrate — “School’s Out, Hello Summer!” 📸☀️

Rattan PTA’s Family Fitness Night is TONIGHT, and we could still use a few extra helping hands! We are also holding our PTA Membership Meeting - Elections for the 2026-2027 board. It's not too late to nominate yourself or another person for the board.

If you have a little time this evening, we’d love your help with:

🏃 Hosting a booth, speaking with families
🧹 Light cleanup

No experience needed—just a willingness to jump in and support a fun event promoting healthy, active lifestyles for our students and families!
