So excited about participating in this event!
Janice Leach - poet, author, baker and creator of the for-order bakeshop, - is holding space for of Delicious Resistance in so many ways. She will be making the delicious desserts fueling our transformative revelry, including apple pie and brownies, both with gluten-free and vegan options. She will also be sharing her poetry and helping MC the event with her wise, generous presence and creative spark.
We met Janice a year ago through sharing the kitchen space at Ann Arbor First UMC, where she is a member and also runs her business out of their kitchen. Months later, we finally got around to collaborating on an event with her providing kitchen support and a delectable gf/vegan peach cobbler. Janice and her partner Jim have been a part of our community ever since, and we are so excited to finally be bringing The Healing Feast to her “home” of . The food we prepare in that kitchen soaks up so much culinary wisdom. good vibes, and love from the work Janice and her team and the rest of the church do there.
Join us in tasting the goodness of Janice’s culinary creations and craft of poetry at the Healing Feast on Fat Tuesday, February 17th, with a dinner and co-creative experience that explores pleasure activism and the transcendent, transformative power of revelry.
