Supporting Noah’s Journey: Prayers & Community Support Needed
Our family has been going through a very difficult journey over the past several months. Last April, my son was diagnosed with coccidiodes meningitis and hydrocephalus. Since then, it has truly been a roller coaster of emotions filled with both hopeful days and challenging ones.
On April 26th, he underwent brain surgery to relieve the fluid buildup caused by the hydrocephalus. The doctors explained that coccidioidal meningitis is very rare and can be deadly if left untreated. We are incredibly grateful it was caught early and that he is receiving care.
He is currently on medication and will likely need to remain on treatment for the rest of his life. He is being closely monitored by a neurologist and an infectious disease specialist, and he has another MRI scheduled this April to continue tracking his progress.
His doctor is now located in San Antonio, so we will be traveling there during part of spring break for his appointments and continued care.
To help with some of the ongoing medical and travel expenses, I will be hosting a bake sale today at 4. I will post what I have.
If purchasing something isn’t possible right now, we completely understand, even a simple prayer for my son would mean so much to us. 🙏❤️
While we cannot change his diagnosis, we continue to hold onto faith as we pray that his condition does not worsen.
Thank you for keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers.
