The weekend lineup is here, friends!

We've been busy baking away, and there are lots of goodies heading to the bake stand this weekend! A few returning favorites, some seasonal treats, and a couple of fun additions to the lineup!

👻 Haunted Hallows Cookie Class is almost here! 🎃

If you’ve ever watched a cookie decorating video and thought “okay, but how do they actually DO that?” — come spend a Saturday afternoon decorating with me!

On Saturday, October 17, we’ll be taking over Hub in Anoka for our Haunted Hallows Cookie Decorating Class. We’ll decorate 6 spooky-cute cookies together while learning royal icing basics, piping techniques, icing consistencies, and plenty of little tips and tricks along the way.

And no decorating experience is needed! Everything is baked, mixed, colored, and ready for you when you arrive. You just get to show up and decorate. 🧡

This is such a fun class to come to with a friend, make it a mother/daughter afternoon, bring your favorite cookie-loving person, or come solo — you definitely won’t be the only one!

We still have a few seats I’d love to fill before class next weekend, so if you’ve been thinking about joining us, now’s a pretty good time to grab yours. 👻

I absolutely loved getting to create these cookies for A Night of Pride & Prejudice at Branch & Bloom Flower Farm

This set gave me a chance to challenge myself in a new way—combining edible prints with hand-painted and piped details to create a layered, 3D watercolor look. And I absolutely love how they came together!

The evening itself was such a fun collaboration: cookies, flower arranging with Amie- Oak and Lily Studios , watercolor with Katie Krause-Watercolor Artist , and of course, the Pride & Prejudice soundtrack on repeat. 🌸🎨🎶

A huge thank you to Amie for coordinating another beautiful event and bringing multiple small businesses together to create something so special. These are the kind of projects that make small business so special.

Small business has a funny way of keeping you humble.

Two weekends ago, we had our slowest weekend since opening the bake stand. Practical me knew slow weekends happen. The other side of me immediately wondered, Am I doing something wrong?

Instead of dwelling on it, I gifted some of our extras forward. Then a gifted loaf of sourdough unexpectedly turned into someone paying it forward to me with a handful of Cambro containers for the bakery. Funny how that works sometimes.

Fast forward to this weekend—we were back to our normal busy pace, and today was our busiest Monday since expanding our hours!

The ups and downs of small business are very real, but so is the community that comes with it.

So thank you. For stopping by, sharing a post, telling a friend, placing an order, or supporting Sweet C’s in whatever way you do. It all matters.
