🍋 A Little Ray of Lemon Loaf Has Arrived🍋

We've been working on something new for the Sugar & Scythe menu, and we're finally ready to introduce it.

A soft, tender lemon loaf made with fresh lemon juice and zest, topped with a buttery cinnamon crumble. And because a little extra sweetness never hurts anyone, each loaf comes with a cup of our Honey Vanilla Royal Icing for drizzling, dipping, or enjoying by the bite.

There is one small catch: we're still under Travel Level Orange in our county, so for the safety of our customers and employees, we're temporarily suspending all pickups and deliveries until travel conditions improve.

That means you can admire Little Ray from a safe distance for now. As soon as Travel Level Orange is lifted, we'll be back to baking, pickup, and FREE local delivery.

If you're already thinking, "Okay, but when can I get one?" ...we'll let you know.

🖤 Today's Harvest | August 14

**No Fresh Harvest Today**

Mother Nature has decided to put a temporary halt on today's harvest route.

With travel currently at Level Orange, we're going to play it safe.

For the safety of our customers, our delivery route, and everyone on the road, we won't be offering deliveries or pickups while the travel advisory is at this level. We'll be keeping an eye on things and getting back to things as soon as it's safe to do so.

We'd much rather have everyone arrive home safely than risk a loaf of bread becoming an emergency passenger.

🍋 Freshly Baked: Lemon Iced Sugar Cookies 6ct • $8.75

Soft, tender sugar cookies with a little lemon sweetness, finished with our honey vanilla icing. A little bright spot in the harvest.

🍞 Cinnamon Swirl Bread • $10.50
🐦 Before the Birds: Old Soul Sourdough • $5.50

We had a little sourdough discard left over from our baking, so it found a home in our Cinnamon Swirl Bread. Soft bread swirled with brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla.

Before the Birds is our 1-day harvest special. It's still fresh and delicious, just offered at a reduced price to help make sure every loaf gets enjoyed instead of going to waste.

🖤 Something New Is Coming to the Harvest

No fresh bakes are available for purchase today, but something new is making its way to the Sugar & Scythe menu.

Today we're working on the final details and taking pictures for a new lemon-inspired bake that we'll be launching later this week.

We've been working on getting this one just right, and now it's almost ready to make its debut.

We'll share the full reveal later this week. Until then, you'll just have to wonder what we've been baking.

🖤 Why Do We Offer Free Local Delivery?

There was a time when bringing things to your door was simply part of doing business.

The person bringing your milk knew the route. They knew the neighborhood. Delivery wasn't a separate service that needed its own fee. It was simply part of how the business worked.

We're a small home bakery, and we really like that idea.

At Sugar & Scythe, we're trying to keep things simple. When you see an item on our menu for $6.25, we mean $6.25. We don't want to add a delivery fee, a convenience fee, or a handful of other little charges just because we can.

The same goes for how we bake.

We make small batches, primarily for the people who have already ordered. We use simple ingredients, focus on making the best product we can, and try to keep waste to a minimum.

Then, we bring it to you. Home. Work. Wherever you're going to enjoy your fresh harvest.

FREE local delivery is simply part of the service we want to provide, not an extra charge tacked onto your order.

Place your order by **2:00 PM** and we'll bake it for you and bring it to Anderson and the surrounding areas the next day.

Old Soul is our heartier sandwich sourdough, made with a rye-fed starter and given a full three days to develop its deeper, tangier flavor. It's got a classic crumb while still being soft enough for sandwiches, toast, or a good slab of butter.
