🖤GOOD FOOD IS WORTH DOING RIGHT

At Sugar & Scythe Bakery, we believe good food starts with good ingredients, thoughtful choices, and a willingness to put quality ahead of convenience. That's why we make our baked goods from scratch, choose our ingredients with care, and leave out artificial preservatives.

Could we take shortcuts? Probably. Could we make different choices to simplify the process or cut costs? Sure. But we started this bakery with a certain standard in mind, and we want to stay true to it.

For us, that means caring about what goes into our dough, our batters, and our finished products. It means taking the time to make things properly, baking in small batches, and accepting that doing things with intention sometimes takes more work. We believe good food shouldn't require compromising on the things that matter to us.

We aren't claiming to be perfect, and we're not trying to be everything to everyone. We're a small home bakery doing our best to make good food with quality ingredients, without unnecessary extras, and with care in every batch.

That's the kind of food we'd make for our own table, and the kind we're proud to share with yours.

Our Apple Cinnamon Pull-Apart was one of the most-voted options in our last poll, and now it has officially joined the Sugar & Scythe lineup!

Meet Apple Afterlife.

Soft, buttery layers filled with warm cinnamon and apples, this pull-apart is made for sharing, pulling apart one piece at a time, or keeping all to yourself. We won't judge. Just to make it even more delightful, it also includes 3oz of our signature Honey Vanilla Icing.

And yes, we had to give it a name that fits right in around here.

🍞 Old Soul Sourdough • $7.25
Our rye-fed sourdough sandwich loaf. Soft, hearty, and rich with sourdough character.

We really do love making bread. There's something pretty satisfying about pulling a loaf from the oven and knowing it's headed to someone's table.

We're also working on another bread right now that we hope to add to the menu soon.

Bread is what we love making, and it's what we want to keep building around at Sugar & Scythe.

There's something satisfying about having a good loaf on hand. Something with flavor and character that makes your morning toast a little better or gives your favorite sandwich a proper foundation.

And getting that bread doesn't have to mean another trip to the grocery store.

We offer free local delivery throughout Anderson and surrounding areas, so you can have fresh bread brought right to your door.

We're also continuing to explore recurring bread deliveries for those who like keeping a regular supply on hand. 🖤

And somewhere in the middle of all that, we're working on a new bread we're hoping to launch later this week.
