Hey Salt and Light Fam- long time no posting.
I miss you all! It's been with good reason I haven't posted any sweets lately.
As a lot of you know, before I was a cake and cookie artist, I was a chef. (Of the savory sorts, not just the sweet stuff)
And many of you may have noticed that I haven't been posting any cake or cookie content over last year because I have been working on something else for you all.
While cakes and cookies were and still are my passion and side hobby, one of my favorite mediums of art- I'm also a personal chef, cooking meals and doing meal prep in-home, weekly, for many clients across Central Indiana.
My heart beats to serve, delicious, thoughtful, beautiful, healthy, intentionally prepared meals to people. It's just been my love language for as long as I can remember, and my god-given gift to share with others. Food is truly Love on a plate for me; art, a craft, a science, but really more of an outlet than anything that connects others and is truly a love language on display for all of your senses to enjoy.
For a few years now I have served families in home, custom menus, custom meals, catered to their very needs and dietary aversions and preferences. I have over 12+ culinary experience, 5+ years executive chef experience. The kitchen is my happy place, it's where God always meets me, and I can do the exact thing I was put on this Earth to do- feed people.
It's been my heart for the longest time to feed people in seasons of life that are overwhelming, perhaps postpartum, post surgery, seasons of grief, various seasons of motherhood and being a busy working woman- all these things, all these hats that women wear, and at the end of the day the one question remains "what's for dinner?!"
Finally, I have the solution- scaled and ready to deliver ! Now I have a way to reach more families with my food and alleviate the burden of meal prep from your already overwhelmed plate (pun intended)
Over the summer I launched Salt & Light Eats by Chef Haley Trout meal prep!
My in-home services have been fully booked for months!
Though these meals are not as customized, they feature all of my signature and seasonal dishes you're family is sure to love. Perfectly portioned meals for you, your family, your elderly parents, meal trains, the busiest people you know and everyone in between! Family style options available each week.
I am now able to offer delivery all across Central Indiana from the west side of Indy all the way to Marion Indiana, everywhere in between- bringing restaurant quality meals delivered your refrigerator, ready to heat and eat throughout your busy week. If I have served you cake or cookies- you are already in my delivery zone.
I have been selling out week after week but I am ready to expand and take it further. With that being said- I have been taking orders for cakes and cookies all along, from my regular customers so feel free to reach out if you have been missing my baked goods and thinking that I am not baking anymore- I am in fact still baking as well.
