Hello dear friends,

Long time no talk! I'm here to share an update with you all. 💕

I intended to take about a month off from baking for The Smiling Moose after the December holidays, but unfortunately my break has become much longer than anticipated. The Smiling Moose is officially on hiatus and I am not taking special orders or doing any pop-ups/markets until further notice.

Although this decision hasn't been easy to make, I am simply too overwhelmed -- by life, social media, what is happening in our country, a stubborn shoulder injury, etc. etc... -- to run this little business consistently. I'm truly grateful for all of you who supported me in the past and enjoyed my baked goods! Thank you for making my dream of running my own bakery come true 🥲🥰 I hope to be back in some capacity, at some point, but right now I can't say when that will be.

But wait, there is some good news!!! Now I have more time and energy to put into making tasty vegan goodies at Blue Market AK, where I work as Kitchen Manager/Baker. Currently, you can buy vegan cookies, scones, berry crumble bars, and -- just in March for the Vegan Chef Challenge -- sandwiches and cinnamon rolls too! (Cinnamon rolls are just baked on Sundays for the time being.) If you're not already, give a follow and stay tuned to what other tasty vegan creations we will concoct for you next. ☺️

🎄Friday (12/20) pickup at Blue Market AK from 4-7pm will close on Wednesday night 🎁

🎅Saturday (12/21) pickup at Blue Market AK 11-6 and delivery will close on Thursday Night💫

In case you missed it - we are offering the following menu for the next two Fridays & Saturdays (12/13, 12/14, 12/20, 12/21). The Friday pickup is from 4-7pm at Blue Market AK. On Saturday, you can choose to pick up at Blue Market AK between 11-6 OR have your order delivered for $5 extra. 🍪🍽

Hi friends👋 hope you all had a restful and delicious Thanksgiving! 💗

Here's a quick update on what we are doing for the month of December! We will be at one last indoor market at Bell's Nursery on Saturday, 12/7 from 10am-3pm. 🎄

After that, we'll be taking orders for PICKUP at Blue Market AK (on 12/13, 12/14, 12/20, and 12/21) or DELIVERY (Anchorage and Eagle River - 12/14 and 12/21 only).

What's on the menu for pre-order, you may ask?? A seasonal array of cookies, scones (savory and sweet), pop tarts, cinnamon rolls, and some extras like coffee cake, brownies and sweet breads! 🍪🥧🍊🍎 Everything is vegan, egg/dairy-free.... and made from scratch and with organic ingredients whenever possible. 🫶

Hey friends! Today through 11/20, you can reserve delicious vegan pies, coffee cake and cinnamon rolls to complete your Thanksgiving table ☺️

This year, all pies can be made gluten-free and/or soy free upon request! So you can accommodate guests will ALL kinds of dietary preferences 💕

Thanksgiving preorders will be available for pick up on Wednesday, 11/27 at between 11am and 7pm. 🥧

Hellooo fine friends! Here's an update on my schedule for the next month or so; I will be at the Saturday market at Bell's Nursery every other week until the market ends on 12/7. Hoping to add some more pop-up dates for later in December - stay tuned!

I am also fine tuning a selection of Thanksgiving offerings for you, in case you want to make The Smiling Moose a part of your feast this year. 🥧🍰☺️
