This picture was taken a year ago this month as I made some bread for my family with my two month old all wrapped up against me.

I first started selling bread when I was about six months pregnant with him, but didn’t really start sharing it outside of my friends and family until I started baking again when this little baby was three months old.

I mixed dough after bedtime, shaping bread and baking cookies with a baby
in the wrap and a toddler playing at my feet. A year later I never would have imagined what this little home bakery would become.

It’s been such a blessing to my family. Thank you so much for all of your support and for trusting me to make your family’s bread.

FAQ: Can I freeze sourdough bread?

Yes! Sourdough freezes and thaws beautifully. You can freeze a whole loaf if you’d like, but I prefer to slice the loaf before putting it in the freezer, then pulling out a slice or two at a time to pop in the toaster.
