🐾🍪 THE DOGS BEHIND THE COOKIES: THE TSUNAMI 🍪🐾

Here’s another original Mad Batter treat with a very special girl behind it.

🌊 THE TSUNAMI

She was the whirly, twirly, happiest, most free-hearted little soul you could ever meet.

And if you understand the meaning of a soul dog, you’ll understand this little girl.

She was special in so many ways.

She had this completely unapologetic joy about her. She was movement, chaos, happiness and pure love all rolled into one. She didn’t just enter a room — she was the energy in the room. 😂❤️

And that spirit is exactly what I wanted her cookie to embody.

The Tsunami is a peanut butter and old-fashioned oat cookie base LOADED with semi-sweet chocolate morsels, Reese’s Peanut Butter morsels and milk chocolate M&M’s.

It’s chunky. It’s loaded. It’s a little chaotic.

Basically… exactly what you’d expect from a cookie named after her. 😂🌊🍪

The Tsunami is one of the original Mad Batter treats, and like so many of the cookies in my lineup, there’s a real dog and a real story behind the name.

Because these aren't just cookies.

They're little pieces of the dogs who left their pawprints on my life. 🐾❤️

And The Tsunami?

She left one hell of a pawprint. 🌊🐾

If you’ve made it over to The Plaid Farm Store, you’ve probably seen that there’s been a BIG restock! 👀🍪

This one is a double restock, since the bakeshop will be closed for the rest of August. I’m hoping this will keep those shelves stocked a little longer!

I packed over 150 goodies and more than 54 POUNDS of treats onto those shelves.

🐾🍪 THE DOGS BEHIND THE COOKIES 🍪🐾

I’ve gotten quite a few questions lately about which cookies are the “dog” cookies, so as part of this week’s restock, I’m going to start introducing you to the dogs behind them.

And we’re starting with the one who started it all.

🐾 THE MOMMA

The Momma was the cookie that started it all.
It's The OG. The classic. Just love in every bite. ❤️

The dog behind the cookie was Momma herself.

Momma was rescued after being picked up by the NYPD and brought into NYCACC. Unfortunately, she came down with kennel cough and quickly ended up on “the list.”

You know the list.

If you've worked with city rescues, you know exactly what that means. It took a lot of work and the right contacts to get her the hell out of exactly that.

Hell.

But Momma was class.

She was calm, gentle, and everything a little house hippo could be. She completely defied the stereotypes people had about dogs like her, and people LOVED her.

And that's exactly what I wanted The Momma to represent.

The Momma Series is actually three different cookies:

🍪 The Nutty Momma

The Nutty Momma will be on the shelves this week. 🐾🍪

And now you know, Momma. The girl behind the cookie that started it all. ❤️

The last of the Rosemary & Flaky Sea Salt Focaccia just hit the cart and YES! Its still warm.

And really... does it get any better than fresh, homegrown rosemary? I don't think so. 🤣

The last of the Lemon Ricotta Cake and Anginetti (Italian Lemon Cookies) are now stocked on the cart.

And today is the LAST DAY for Pumpkin DREAM Cake — only 2 slices left! 🎃

🌴 A LITTLE MAD BATTER ANNOUNCEMENT 🌴

Okay, folks... here’s the information I promised.

The Mad Batter Cookiez will be CLOSED August 23rd through the end of August.

Yep. I’m taking a little vacation. 😂 I’m taking a little time to step away from the bakeshop and enjoy some time-off.

That means:

🍪 Private orders will be closed.
🛒 The Self-Serve Cart will be closed.
🏪 There will be no Plaid Farm Store restocks while I’m away.

🛒 A NOTE ABOUT THIS WEEK’S The Plaid Farm Store RESTOCK

You may have noticed that the restock is happening later than usual.

That is intentional. 😉

I’m double-stocking a lot of goodies before I leave, but I’m pushing the restock later in the week because I want to try to stretch those goodies through the time I’m gone.

I’d rather load the store up closer to my departure and give everything a better chance of lasting while I’m away.

We have The Mad Batter After Dark happening tonight. 👀🍪

If you grabbed a preorder for those warm cookies, enjoy them because after that...

I’m officially OUT OF OFFICE. 😂

Well... it’s late. 😂 The bakeshop is finally wrapping up for the day, and I’m just finishing up this preorder form.

So... here we go. 👀

You guys have been asking for warm, late-night cookies, so tomorrow night we’re going to give it a shot!

Happy Thursday (it’s Thursday, right!?)! 😂

Okay... we’re going to try something a little different. 👀

Those warm, late-night chocolate chip cookies will be happening tomorrow night!

These will be PRE-ORDER ONLY, and ordering opens tonight and closes PROMPTLY at noon tomorrow.

⚠️ There will be a limited supply! Once you submit the pre-order form, you’ll be contacted to confirm whether your order has been accepted.
💳 All orders must be paid for in advance.
🔥 Made fresh & served warm.
⏰ Scheduled late-night pickup.

I’ve gotten a LOT of requests for DoorDash.

Y’all... it’s just not possible. DoorDash requires a commercial brick-and-mortar pickup location, and between that and the flexibility of my schedule, it just doesn’t work for The Mad Batter Cookiez.

So for now, we’re keeping this pre-order + scheduled pickup.

The Pumpkin DREAM Cake is on the cart! Super moist, loaded with all those fall nostalgia vibes, and topped with a decandent cream cheese cinnamon inspired frosting. 🎃🍰

Classic 6 oz Chocolate Chip Cookies because we aren’t being shy with cookie size around here.

Yellow Cake with Chocolate Frosting because… YES.

The Oatmeal Cream Pies aren’t quite ready to be packaged. The filling needs a little more time to set, so while I wait, I’m taking a homeowner break to deal with this absolutely ridiculous lawn that needs a trim. 🤣

This warmer weather is not forgiving on baked goods, and I will NOT leave them sitting without a properly chilled cooler. Quality control! 😂
