While most of us spend the day off work, with family & friends, outdoors grilling, or indoors binge watching movies, or on the water or in the mountains, remember that the only reason you're able to have the freedom to do any of those things is because men & women before you gave their life fighting for our country, and defending our freedoms.

Today we honor, today we take a moment of silence. Today we show grace & thankfulness to those who died for our country. Today we don't necessarily thank our veterans event though we know they have had their own form of sacrificies whether it be deployments, or duty stations away from loved ones, but today, if you know a family who is personally affected by someone who gave their life in wars fighting & defending our flag, nation, and freedoms, give them a hug & say a prayer for them..

📖 Words of Faith Friday Wk5.

2 Timothy 2:25
"Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people's hearts, and they will learn the truth"

In 2023 I was saved, and accepted Jesus into my life, heart, soul and body, at a children's revival of all the places (I'll share that story more one day).

But I came home to my husband that evening with the biggest weight off my shoulder, and when I told my husband what happened and as we talked about my salvation the days after, he disclosed to me a prayer he had been praying for the years prior. His prayer for me was this "I pray that Samantha comes to know Jesus in a safe and healthy way". And to this day he/we pray this over people we know that aren't saved, or aren't living for Christ. Because often times you hear stories of people giving their life to Christ after some hardship, or some extremely awful experience, but Seth didn't want that for me.. he knows my story and knows I have experienced plenty of awful things in my life, but to know and love God he wanted it to be good. Because as believers we know God is good. And so did God, as he saved me at a Children's revival on a Saturday night..

So instead of just praying for people's salvation and to come to know Jesus is the way, life and truth, be specific in how you pray. Pray for a peaceful coming, pray for a healthy and safe experience. God is in control, but that doesn't mean you can't speak good things into your prayers. He listens.

📖 Words of Faith Friday. Wk 4.

Hebrews 10:24
"Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works."

Sometimes in life when we are in a season of highs, everything is going good, maybe you got a job promotion, maybe your kids are excelling in school, you got a financial blessing, you've been invited to something special- we find it easy to pour out love and kindness and goodness.... but what about when you're in a season of low?

I've heard people say "you're pouring from an empty cup"... but I don't believe its possible to have an empty cup with Jesus on your side. Therefore even in the low seasons we must find a way to pour kindness, to pour good, to pour joy into one another. Because its what Jesus would do. Even when he knew what was coming, he encouraged and motivated goodness and love into others.

Psalms 127:3
"Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him"

This one came fitting for this weekend. Whether you're a birth mother, adoptive mother, step/bonus momma, auntie, grandmother raising grand babies, or a woman longing for children, you are surrounded by children in your life if you realize it or not. You are gifted with children in your life. Some of which you have a direct impact on, and others maybe you just get to drop a smile on their lives. Either way, enjoy the gift of children. They are the future, they are God's children, just as you are.
