Words of Faith Friday. Wk7 📖 ✝️

1 Corinthians 13:4
"Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud."

Love is always something that seems "obvious" to many people. Buying flowers, spending time with each other, getting married, doing things for your kids, etc.. but the Bible teaches us two main factors for what Love IS. Its patience & kindness. Its what you do when someone has upset you or broke your heart. It's s what you do when you don't get that job promotion or that business deal. It's what you become when someone has broken trust or your kids crossed a boundary they shouldn't have. It's how you react when someone hits your vehicle or doesnt use a turn signal.

As humans God created us to have emotions, to have feelings, to have reactions and ultimately be humans. But he also created love. And he's given us a book on how to do it. Is the Love you give to your spouse, friends, family, children, coworkers patience and kindness?

I'm learning to do better in this department. Growing up not exposed to who God is and his works, love for me had a whole different meaning. But now in my 30s, accepting Jesus in my life, I have the real answers on what love is. And as I am never perfect, I am trying to do better at showing what love is. Patience and kindness.

Words of Faith Friday. Wk 6. 📖

Romans 4:16
"Therefore is it of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all".

This week's post looks a little different, as I am home recovering from Gallbladder removal surgery, but the word of God never ceases, as does his promises if you have Faith.

Keeping it short & sweet, as this part of scripture truly speaks for itself.

While most of us spend the day off work, with family & friends, outdoors grilling, or indoors binge watching movies, or on the water or in the mountains, remember that the only reason you're able to have the freedom to do any of those things is because men & women before you gave their life fighting for our country, and defending our freedoms.

Today we honor, today we take a moment of silence. Today we show grace & thankfulness to those who died for our country. Today we don't necessarily thank our veterans event though we know they have had their own form of sacrificies whether it be deployments, or duty stations away from loved ones, but today, if you know a family who is personally affected by someone who gave their life in wars fighting & defending our flag, nation, and freedoms, give them a hug & say a prayer for them..

Be safe today America. 🤍🇺🇸

📖 Words of Faith Friday Wk5.

2 Timothy 2:25
"Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people's hearts, and they will learn the truth"

In 2023 I was saved, and accepted Jesus into my life, heart, soul and body, at a children's revival of all the places (I'll share that story more one day).

But I came home to my husband that evening with the biggest weight off my shoulder, and when I told my husband what happened and as we talked about my salvation the days after, he disclosed to me a prayer he had been praying for the years prior. His prayer for me was this "I pray that Samantha comes to know Jesus in a safe and healthy way". And to this day he/we pray this over people we know that aren't saved, or aren't living for Christ. Because often times you hear stories of people giving their life to Christ after some hardship, or some extremely awful experience, but Seth didn't want that for me.. he knows my story and knows I have experienced plenty of awful things in my life, but to know and love God he wanted it to be good. Because as believers we know God is good. And so did God, as he saved me at a Children's revival on a Saturday night..

So instead of just praying for people's salvation and to come to know Jesus is the way, life and truth, be specific in how you pray. Pray for a peaceful coming, pray for a healthy and safe experience. God is in control, but that doesn't mean you can't speak good things into your prayers. He listens.
