This week is off to a much better start than last week! (No oven troubles)

As we approach the end of the month, things might start getting a spookier twist to them. This week, for example, we made our Wheat Free Double Chocolate Cookies black. They may look charred, but I assure you, they don't taste that way. Stay tuned to see what we come up with next week.

We will have a quiche out later this morning, as well as some Blueberry Sourdough Poptarts.

This week just keeps being difficult. We've had some troubles with the oven and are very low on product at the moment. We will be opening at 9 am, as usual, but with very limited baked goods until we get new stuff made.

We do have plenty of sourdough, salads, cookies, and of course coffee. So, there's still reason to stop in!

Good morning, Amherst. There was some excitement at the bakery late last night; everything is okay, but there is a slight burnt smell lingering in the air. We're airing it out the best we can, but just wanted to give everyone a heads up.

In other news, it's Central Waters River Run day!! Good luck to all participants. We'll be here until 2 pm, if you need a quick pick me up after the run!

We had one of our regular customers request a special cookie from her childhood, and I'm almost always up for a challenge.

These cookies seem to have a couple different names; Mary Anns or Aunt Sally's being the most common. They are a gingery molasses cookie topped with a marshmallow fluff icing. They turned out great. Not too sweet and with a gingersnap like consistency.

Can't wait to see if they live up to our regular's expectations.
