Even though we bake every day for the past 19 years, life still happens! Can you believe the hardest place for me to bake is at home. The talami turned out beautifully. Cardamom pecan cake is perfect. But the snickerdoodles look like it’s my first day in the kitchen. The best news, it was all enjoyed the same.

Bread is definitely one of our favorite things to make at our small family bakery. Just the smell of fresh bread makes everyone feel like they’re home. When we are done making all of our yummy bread, then it’s time to scale all the ingredients. Now that is an undertaking! Usually 500 pounds of bread flour, pumpernickel flour, fine whole wheat flour, medium rye flour, rye chops, oatmeal, lentils, chai seed, sesame seed, flax seed, caraway seed, and lots of other wholesome ingredients. Time for a coffee break!
