My annual bake for a dear friend. He's a Vietnam Veteran who has coffee with a few other veterans at the National Cemetery on Memorial Day morning for a cup of coffee, a cookie, and rough memories of the past.
I've made him some version of a soldier cookie for the last three years. I'm more than honored to be able to participate in this solemn moment.
Don't forget to take a moment out of your weekend and give thanks for those who have given their lives for our country and our way of life!

Project Florida wedding complete! ✍️4.5 hours, planning and packing all equipment and ingredients needed. 🚛11.5 hrs ...

Project Florida wedding complete!
✍️4.5 hours, planning and packing all equipment and ingredients needed.
🚛11.5 hrs driving (actually took 2 days because we stopped halfway to visit friends 🧡). Arrived at destination.
🌛 evening #1: 3 hours baking
🌞 day 2: 10.5 hours mixing, coloring and decorating cake 1, Retirement cake. Ice and decorate cake 2, wedding cake. Get started on cupcakes.
🧁 day 3: finish all 75 cupcakes deliver to the beach house, set up. Enjoy the wedding and family visit! 6 hours work, 5 hours fun!
🏖 Now? 2 days on the beach relaxing!

Retirement cake: Strawberry/vanilla marble, vanilla buttercream

Wedding cake: Bourbon Carrot/vanilla marble, top dome (flower layer) strawberry/vanilla marble, vanilla buttercream

54 flower cupcakes: strawberry, red velvet, vanilla. Vanilla buttercream flowers

36 spiked flower cupcakes:
Mexican chocolate spiked with spiced tequila, vanilla buttercream and a "shot" straw of chocolate chili tequila.
Spicy strawberry spiked with pepper tequila. Vanilla buttercream flowers and a "shot" straw of pepper tequila

I'm going to be visiting here to see my sister for a week of relaxation. I plan on doing a couple promotional giveaways ...

I'm going to be visiting here to see my sister for a week of relaxation.

I plan on doing a couple promotional giveaways for the summer when I get back so be watching!
