I've gained so many new followers in the past few weeks - welcome! For those who are new to the page, my name is Megan. I'm the one behind Marmalade's Bake Shop. I'm also a wife, mother to a beautiful 10 month old boy, and crazy cat lady. I have two kitties of my own, and my sassy calico girl is the namesake of my business. We live in Greenville, MI with our two goldendoodles. It's a busy time but I wouldn't have it any other way!

I've loved baking for as long as I can remember, starting when I'd hop off the bus after school in 7th grade and head into the kitchen to make something out of my mom's 1950s Better Homes and Gardens cookbook. After high school, I worked as a pastry baker for several years. I've always baked for family, and I launched my business in 2023 during my final semester of college as a way to broaden my artistic skills. Now, as a stay-at-home mom, it's the perfect job so that I can be at home with my little man!

As I lay awake the other night, as I often do, I found myself longing to make this cake that I call Monkey Cake. A banana sponge with peanut butter buttercream, chocolate outside and a ganache finish. No I'm not pregnant again. Someone else has to agree that this combo is a whole vibe! 🍌🍫🥜
