About Llama Cakes

Hey Friends! I’m so happy you are here. My name is Janice, I am the owner, operator, and baker of Llama Cakes located in Alexandria, MN. I am a wife and mother of two little girls, and we live, work and play here in “Alex”.

I started Llama Cakes officially in September 2018 as a way to fuel my passion for baking and creating sweet treats in addition to working full-time outside of the home. Go ahead ... call me crazy, I’ve heard it before! But after a long day at work getting in the kitchen is like my day is just beginning, my energy returns and my buckets get filled. I have been baking and providing my family and friends with my creations for many years. I am a self taught home baker, registered as a Cottage Food Producer with the MN Dept. of Agriculture.

Llama Cakes is my creative outlet and seeing the smiles and joy my baking brings to people makes me so incredibly happy. I love to try new decorating techniques, mix flavors and trying new things. My children loved to be involved in all my projects. They love to see what I’m creating and always want to know who it is for and what occasion, my husband and kids are my biased biggest fans and taste testers!

Since starting Llama Cakes I’ve been blown away by the support I have received from my family, friends and community, and I’m excited for what the future may bring.
