It’s here! Final box for my beloved Fort Hunt😭🩷

Almond croissant- hand sheeted European butter based croissant dough, almond frangipane, sliced almonds, powdered sugar, twice baked

Jalapeño bacon scone- European butter based scone dough, homemade pickled jalapeños, bacon, grilled corn, cheddar cheese, flaked sea salt

Dealer’s choice galette- free form all butter pie crust, whatever delicious produce I can get my hands on this week 😉, maybe streusel/maybe not, turbinado sugar

Salted dark chocolate chip cookies (3)- chocolate chip cookie dough, dark chocolate chips, chopped dark chocolate bars, flaked sea salt

Pastry boxes going live tomorrow (Sunday, May 11th) at 6pm on hotplate via link in bio. Pickup will be 5/17 at 10am in Waynewood. This is the second to last box I’ll be doing before we move 😭 so make sure to snag one if you can!

Navy life is the best life! Until it’s time to leave… Our family will be relocating early this summer to Virginia Beach. While we love VB, and we’re excited for new adventures, we are immensely sad to leave Fort Hunt behind. Anyone who’s lived here knows it is a very, very special place. I’m not exactly sure what the future of TBH will be, but I’m hopeful for many more opportunities to share delicious food with friends both new and old!
In the meantime, I’ll be doing two last boxes— 5/17 and 5/31. Love love love you, Fort Hunt. 🩷

I love this job. LOVE it. Thanks for buying my treats, talking with me when you come to pick them up, then loving what I made and buying more so I get to see you again. (My favorite part of pastry box day truly is seeing each of you.) What a privilege to hug old friends, learn new names, and be a small part of each other’s story. It’s just so fun.

1. Box pickup will be this Saturday, March 29th from 10-10:30am in Waynewood.

2. In this week’s box—
Chocolate croissant: hand sheeted European butter based croissant dough, Callebaut chocolate batons, chocolate drizzle or powdered sugar (we’ll see what mood strikes 😉)

Mixed berry streusel cake: sour cream butter cake, fresh raspberries/blueberries/strawberries, cinnamon streusel

Savory spring mushroom and leek galette: free form all butter pie crust, sautéed mushrooms, leeks, spinach, herbs, everything seasoning

Butter pecan shortbread cookies (4): deeply toasted chopped pecans, shortbread cookie dough, turbinado sugar, flaked sea salt

3. Preorders will open tonight (Sunday, 3/23) at 6pm on hotplate. Use link in bio to order or type hotplate.com/theosbakehouse into your browser.
