Congratulations, Mr & Mrs Pesta! 🥂

If I’m being honest, this cake made me so nervous - not only was it set out for an outdoor reception in 85+ degrees but having the extra weight of the vintage piping 😳 I did what I had to do to make sure it withstood the heat leading up to the cake cutting but Mother Nature is not easy on buttercream!

Carley and Derek, thank you for allowing my talents to be part of your big day!

Congratulations, Mr & Mrs Carlson! 🥂

I don’t know who was more excited - Carrie waiting to eat the cupcakes or myself for wanting to talk to Carrie and Dylan about their elopement in Glacier National Park!

Not only did they stay in Columbia Falls (the not-so-little-anymore town I was born/raised in) but they rode the gondola to the top of Big Mountain, drove around the east side of Flathead Lake and ate at the Huckleberry Patch. Once I found out they were eloping in Montana, I had to make sure they enjoyed the beauty and huckleberries while they were there!

To share with their guests here in MN, they asked me to bake huckleberry cupcakes and gluten-free huckleberry cupcakes to allow them to understand what all the hype is about when it comes to the little berries! Of course, I couldn’t tell them no and made sure to have enough huckleberries on hand.

Dylan and Carrie, thank you for allowing me to live through you briefly! I’m happy to hear you had a great time, loved the views and Montana treated you well!

Congratulations, Mr & Mrs Lynk! 🥂

Two of my favorite features of Gathered Oaks is the window behind the dessert table and the large hydrangea bushes! As I was setting up the cupcakes for Emily and Ryder, I noticed them having photos taken with the bridal party.

Fast forward to this evening and looking through the photos I took of the table completed - it got me thinking. Thinking about how blessed I am to go to a venue and set up. My talents on a table.
Think about that. A couple would never allow just anyone to be in the space on their big day. It gave me a new perspective.

Couples need to trust their vendors. Couples allow us to be a part of their day, not the other way around. We do not get the opportunity just because they need our services. This is humbling! My hard work and communication with couples has allowed me to be trusted in our industry. That trust carries a weight and I take it very seriously.

Thank you Emily and Ryder! Thank YOU for trusting me with your desserts. Thank YOU for allowing me to be in your space on your big day!
