This cake was introduced to me by a friend when I moved to the US. Before then I had never heard of the cake. The concept of soaking cake in a milk mixture sounded strange. I was skeptic of what the cake would turn out to be. When I made it the first time, it turned out to be so much different than my anticipation. Tres leches is one of my favorite cakes now. It’s easy to decorate and serve as a dessert at dinners.
