I know it’s been quiet here for a while, and I wanted to share a little update. ❤️
Lacey's Blissful Bakes is still here. I’m just not ready to come back yet. I haven’t reopened my bakery since losing my son, Damian, in April. What many people may not know is that Damian was part of my little bakery too. He helped me with cleaning up, packaging, decorating, and all the little things behind the scenes. 🧁❤️
I've tried baking since losing him, and I've learned that I'm just not there yet. Baking was something I loved, but now it also holds so many memories of him. Sometimes even walking into the kitchen with the intention of baking is harder than I expect.
I know I'll bake again someday. I know I'll make cupcakes, cookies, cake pops, and probably some completely ridiculous flavor combination that sounded like a good idea in my head. 😂🧁
But I'm giving myself the time I need before I get there.
So for now, Lacey’s Blissful Bakes remains temporarily closed. ❤️
Thank you so much to everyone who has continued to follow my little bakery, check in, and patiently wait. Your kindness and understanding mean more to me than you probably realize.
