👩🏼⚕️🧡🩻 Health & Bakery Updates 👩🏼⚕️🧡🩻
Welcoming May with gratitude & blessings we wanted to share our updates with you all.
First, Thank you so very much to those who have reached out to us with support & concern.
🌸 Alright friends...Let's just get to it 🌸
For those who may not know:
Dawn has a degenerative spine disorder/deformity with a structural neurological disorder/deformity (brain/skull)
👩🏼⚕️She has had 2 surgeries thus far on her spine (cervical fusion, lumbar fusion)
👩🏼⚕️She has had 1 surgery thus far on her skull/brain (decompression with duraplasty and cauterization of her cerebellar tonsils with a c1 laminectomy)
🩻 After a fall off the back deck steps this February. She has obtained new spinal MRI imaging, which appears (to us) to show more spinal damage in her upper cervical and thoracic area. However, we will confirm and wait to receive a proper medical diagnosis and plan with her neurosurgeon this month.
💉 She started pain management this week with her anesthesiologist. She has received her first round of epidural spinal injections and is resting & doing well.❤️
🩻Unrelated to her spine, in an isolated incident, Dawn also sustained an injury to her shoulder last year, and has been treated with 2 cortisone shots thus far with little pain improvement. We requested MRI's and those images have revealed tears/damage.
Unfortunately at this time, we are anticipating many more appointments with possible procedures and/or surgeries,
SO, Until Further Notice we will continue to NOT book or accept any orders at this time.
🚜 BRIAN will be returning to work outside of the Bakery with Soil & Water for another season.
He is looking forward to some small Bakery pop-ups with barn sales on some sunny weekends/free time.
