Thursday is looking pretty good around here.

The Hearth is open, the shelves are full, and there’s a whole lot of sourdough waiting for you.

Today’s stand is stocked with:

Classic Sourdough
Cheddar Jalapeño Sourdough
Garlic Herb Sourdough
A couple Lucky Loaves (smaller sized sourdough from this batch’s dough)

Plus all of the shelf-stable provisions: pancake mix, brownie mix, dehydrated sourdough starter.

And tucked down on the lower shelf is something I’m especially happy to see so full: The For Those In Need basket.

There are several loaves available for anyone who could use one. Free, no questions asked. If you need a loaf, please take one. If you know someone who does, take one for them. 🩶

And don’t forget about Side Quest Tallow Provisions—balms and hand-poured tallow + beeswax candles are stocked on the stand as well.

Everything is self-serve, and card and cash are accepted at the stand.

A little payment reminder as we settle into our new system.

As of August 26, Iron Hearth no longer accepts Venmo for bread purchases.

Cash is always appreciated, but for electronic stand purchases please use the posted QR code. Weekly reservations are placed and paid for through the website.

I’m still seeing a few Venmo payments come through, so I wanted to reshare the update in case it was missed.

Thank you for helping me keep systems simple so I can continue putting more energy into baking and less into administrative work. 🩶

Wednesday at the Hearth 🔥

The oven has been busy this morning! These beauties are headed out to the stand today, along with all of today’s reservations, which are ready and waiting.

And there’s something extra special waiting on the stand this morning: The For Those In Need basket is VERY full. 🩶

If you or someone you know could use a loaf, please take one. No questions, no explanation, no judgment. It’s there because sometimes a loaf of bread is a small thing that can make a day feel a little easier. 🩶

Also out today are Side Quest Tallow Provisions:
Whipped Unscented Balm
Whipped Lightly Scented Balm
Solid Tallow Balm
Hand-poured candles

One of the things I love most about these products is not only how beautifully they behave on the skin, but what goes into them.

They are made with simple, edible ingredients—the same kinds of ingredients you’d recognize in a well-stocked kitchen. That doesn’t mean they’re snacks (please don’t eat them😂) but it does mean you aren’t rubbing a mystery cocktail of questionable ingredients into your skin.

The Hearth is open today until 8PM.

🤎 Brown Butter Hearth Rolls — singles + 4-packs
(4-packs are only available via reservation and will not be offered as a first come first served item)
🥖 Classic Sourdough

🌿 Garlic Herb Sourdough

Hearth Rolls are Saturday only, so if you want rolls and a loaf together, be sure to select Saturday pickup. Loaves needed for another day will need to be ordered separately.

After 12 PM, reservations close and anything remaining becomes first come, first served. I also won’t be holding items outside of the reservation window.

September is here, and I can’t believe I’m actually typing that.

What started as a little idea I wasn’t even sure anyone would want to participate in has turned into 8 local businesses saying YES and a growing number of community members telling me they’re excited to get out and explore.

SOLD OUT FOR THE WEEKEND. 🩶🔥

And what a way to end the week.

The shelves are empty, the ovens are quiet, and I’m sitting here feeling incredibly grateful for this little Hearth and the people who keep showing up for it.

This week brought a little schedule shuffle, but still a whole lot of bread found its way into your homes.

The stand will remain open for reserved-order pickups throughout the rest of the day, and there’s still a little something for anyone who needs it:

🔥 SEPTEMBER 2–6 AT IRON HEARTH 🔥

A new month is upon us, which means sourdough and… Hearth Rolls!

For the last 6 months or so, we’ve created a bit of a tradition at the Hearth: We welcome the beginning of each new calendar page with Hearth Rolls on the first Saturday of every month.

This is a recipe I hold very near and dear—probably because I spent so long trying to perfect it.

Hearth Rolls undergo a 55-hour process between mixing the dough, fermentation, cold proofing, a second fermentation, before being baked, labeled, and placed in the fridge for you to pick up.

Long-fermented sourdough swirled with browned grass-fed butter, sweetened with allulose and date syrup instead of refined sugar, and topped with vanilla bean cream cheese frosting.

And this month, I’m including my Apple Pie Hearth Rolls! Made through the same extended process, but filled with cozy apple pie filling and finished with toasted oat streusel, vanilla bean cream cheese frosting, and a drizzle of date caramel.

A little note about the Hearth Rolls: these are a Saturday treat. They’ll only be put in the Iron Hearth fridge Saturday morning. If any remain from Saturday, they’ll be available Sunday while they last, but they will not be available during the week.

And one little Bakesy quirk to know about: if you want to order a Hearth Roll and a loaf together, you’ll need to select Saturday pickup for that order. If you’d like a loaf on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, or Sunday, you’ll need to place a separate order for the loaf.

Unfortunately, that’s simply a limitation of how Bakesy handles items with specific pickup days, not a new Iron Hearth policy.

As always, reservations close Tuesday at noon. After that, anything remaining is first come, first served. To keep things fair for everyone, I will not be holding items outside of the reservation window.

Card and cash are accepted at the stand, but all reserved items will be paid for at the time of ordering.

😬A little Facebook PSA…

Apparently Facebook has decided that following a business page now means you might receive a personal message from that business. 🙃

I discovered this today when I realized a few new followers had received messages from Iron Hearth that said:

“Hi! Thanks for following us. Anything we can help with?”

Imagine my confusion when I saw it and thought…I DIDN’T SEND THAT. 😂

After digging around on Reddit, I discovered that this is something a lot of page owners are currently dealing with. Even stranger? My automations are already turned OFF. So apparently Facebook has decided to go rouge.

So, just to be clear:

I am not trying to bombard you with messages!
If you follow Iron Hearth, you are absolutely welcome here without immediately being greeted by an unsolicited sales pitch in your inbox.

I’m still digging into exactly what Facebook is doing and how to make it stop, but in the meantime, if you got a random “Hi, thanks for following!” message from me…

It’s 7am and the Hearth is back. 🔥

First, thank you. 🩶
Thank you for the grace, patience, and kindness you gave me when I needed to make a last-minute adjustment to this week’s schedule. Sometimes I’m needed elsewhere and I’m so grateful you gave me the room to do that.

But enough about that. We’re back. 😂

On the stand this weekend:

🍞 Classic Sourdough — the one that started it all.

🧅 Onion Parmesan Sourdough — savory, cheesy, herby, and deeply aromatic.

🍅 Tomato Mozzarella Sourdough — new this week. Sun-dried tomatoes, mozzarella, roasted garlic, and my house herb blend come together for a savory, rich loaf with a whole lot of flavor.

Sweet Flight (STILL IN THE OVEN)
Classic • Cinnamon • Chocolate • Lemon Blueberry

A little Hearth housekeeping:
Venmo is officially retired. You can still pay with cash or card at the stand.

And reservations have a new home! You can now browse the weekly menu and reserve your loaves through Bakesy by scanning the QR code at the Hearth or using the link in my bio. The weekly menu launches each Sunday and reservations close Tuesdays at noon, per usual.

FOR THOSE IN NEED
There are 6 loaves in the basket this morning, completely free for anyone who needs one. No questions, no explanation, no strings attached. Just bread.

The oven is warm, the shelves are full, and I’m very happy to be back.

Today’s reservations for flights will be out by my regularly scheduled 9 AM opening, I was just excited to get these loaves out and see you guys. 🩶
