Happy Summer Lovelies! What’s on your to do list during this heat wave? I put up loganberry jam, raspberry jam, cherry rasp vanilla bean jam, red, white, and blue jam, and will be processing nectarine jam today.
Have a bunch of berries in the freezer to bag. Pro tip: Wash your berries and spread on a wax paper cookie sheet and place in the freezer. I bag in 2 cup amounts and get the bags back to the freezer ASAP. This keeps the berries from being a big frozen glob.
I see some slip n slide in the future! Stay cool!🌺

Breakfast Burritos hot out of the canner! Taters, onion, bell peppers, celery, and sausage. You can drain the liquid and make gravy. Dump the jar, heat, add some eggs and cheese. Serve in a burrito or in a bowl! A couple of these will make an easy camp breakfast.

Rose water this weekend! My rose bushes are bursting with flowers and they smell divine! I made a gallon of rose water which can be used topically or ingested. Had a square fall off the shelf in the garage while doing some organizing and it dropped right onto a jar of sweet tea concentrate, popped the lid open. Soooooo we made sweet tea with rose water and boy is it delicious!
