Yesterday was my last day working at the W.R. Grace chemical plant in Albany, Oregon. They announced in June they would cease operations at the end of the year, and now here we are at the end of the year. I loved my job and the people I worked with, so it was sad to go.

Because of all the notice W.R. Grace gave of the plant closure, I was able to secure local employment that begins in January at Bakelite, which is not a bakery 😅

For my last day (and the last day of many of my coworkers), I made this Biscoff Brownie cake. It is absolutely delicious with Biscoff layers and buttercream, a full brownie layer, and chocolate ganache. Recipe by

I am such a huge fan of brownies. Anyone else? They’re probably in my top 5 favorite desserts. I’ve made many recipes of brownies of the years and this one seems to be the favorite - it has a nice chewy, moist texture that is punctuated by chocolate chunks throughout. I can’t ever pass up a good brownie!

Recipe by though last time I checked her website was down.
