Big progress has been happening at the shop over these last several days, like our hood and vent system is being installed! We're getting a little closer every day at the shop. 🛠️🍩

Meanwhile, the test kitchen has been busy too! Trying out some jumbo blueberry muffins that might make their way onto the menu someday. 🫐

Still a lot of work ahead, but moments like this make it feel real!

We seriously can’t wait to open Frosted WNY Donuts' doors and share everything we’ve been working on with you all.

This Easter, I baked fresh loaves of to share with my family. It's a sweet tradition rooted in faith, celebration, and togetherness. ✝️🍞

Placek is a beloved sweet yeast bread, often topped with a buttery crumble called kruszonka. Sometimes it’s filled with raisins or seasonal fruits like plums or rhubarb. Soft, lightly sweet, and perfect with a cup of coffee or tea, it’s a staple on many Easter tables.

As we celebrate the joy and renewal of this holy season, I’m excited to bring this meaningful treat into the shop soon. My recipe is inspired by my grandmother's own, so it's made with care, tradition, and lots of love.

We wanted to share a real and honest update with you all 🤍

Opening our donut shop has taken a "little" 😬 longer than we ever expected, but please know this:

WE ARE STILL 100% COMMITTED TO OPENING OUR DOORS!

Right now, we’re working through the final steps of approvals and permits, which are required before we can begin real construction and bring everything together inside the shop. These things can sometimes take longer than planned, but we’re diligently working with the Village of Akron to comply and press onward. This is why it's been so difficult to give you folks a timeline or say what day we're actually opening.

In the meantime... we’ve been testing, refining, and perfecting our recipes behind the scenes. This week I had some time to make a small batch of sour cream donuts that honestly might be our best yet!! And yes, they tasted as good as they look 🤤

We know many of you are excited and we feel that same excitement (and impatience!) right along with you. Your support, messages, and encouragement mean everything to us, and we can’t wait to serve you soon.

We promise this is NOT the end of Frosted WNY Donuts' story, it’s just a delay in the beginning ✨

More updates will come. And hopefully, very soon, you’ll be tasting these instead of just looking at them.

No store hours yet, but behind the scenes we are dialing in flavors, fillings, and combinations we can’t wait to share with you! Like these... 🤤

Maple PB Fluff and Chocolate PB Fluff donuts, both filled with delicious peanut butter and marshmallow crème filling. These made a Super Bowl party appearance yesterday and we're a hit 🏈🍩

Update: We're still under construction, but flavor testing doesn't stop.

A quick update from Frosted WNY Donuts 🍩

We’ve had a lot of folks stopping by and messaging us asking if we’re open, so we wanted to clarify here: we are not open yet.

We only closed on the building on Halloween and are currently in the middle of construction, permits, inspections, and build-out. Between the holidays, contractor schedules, and a very January in Buffalo winter, things take time. But!!!... progress is happening 🙏

You may see us working in the shop, but please note this is still an active construction site and not open to the public for safety reasons. Any hours you may see online are placeholders and not accurate.

Once we have confirmed an opening date, we’ll announce very proudly and clearly on our social media. Thank you so much for your patience and excitement. We can’t wait to welcome you in soon 🤍

I know... I know... We've been pretty quiet lately on social media about opening, but for good reason 🤍🍩

Since Christmas, a lot has shifted from at-home baking and recipe testing to some very exciting behind-the-scenes work inside our future shop. While we may not be posting much now, we’ve been busy bringing this space to life and our dream to life 🥰

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been:
• Building our front counter
• Redoing booths and seating
• Designing our coffee station ☕
• Ordering equipment and supplies
• Finalizing kitchen drawings with our architect so contractors can begin building our kitchen (the most IMPORTANT part of a donut shop 🤣)
• Meeting with wholesalers for even more delicious goodies

Even installing a brand new window in our very old cute round front door and purchasing a welcoming vintage Coca-Cola fridge that I was way too excited about! (We are definitely a Coke household!!)

One of the best parts of this process has been all our sweet visitors, who’ve stopped in to say hello and check in on our progress. My husband has been working so hard in the shop and those quick conversations and encouraging words mean more to us than you all know 💕

There’s too much to do, but every step brings us closer to opening day!! Thank you so much for your patience and support while we quietly work hard on bringing WNY the best donuts!!
