Couchton participated with Beech Island FD for a multi-department training this morning. There were 11 total FD's. Training was great and it was nice to fellowship with those we wouldn't normally run calls with and meet fellow brothers and sisters. Aiken County Fire Departments working together to provide the highest level of service to our citizens.

I want to express my appreciation for our Officers continuing their training. As we move up in positions within the fire service we are not just filling a Officer position we are setting the example to follow that we never stop learning. We appreciate Wal-Mart's generous donation of 18 cases of water to the Couchton Fire and Rescue Department's Rehab Unit. Their support enables us to provide essential hydration to our firefighters, reducing the risk of heat-related illnesses during emergency responses. Thank you for caring about our community.

We would like to offer our congratulations to Captain Story (not pictured) and Lieutenant Cook on achieving their IFSAC Fire & Life Safety Educator I. I appreciate their commitment to obtaining this qualification, which will contribute to our department's growth in future programs. Congratulations to you both.

I would like to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of our members. They were tasked with repurposing our vehicle to create a rehab unit to support the health and wellbeing of our members and other departments in the county. The members worked diligently planning and equipping this truck. Rehab 12 was placed in service a couple of weeks ago. In a 1 week span this truck has been utilized three times assisting other districts with structure fires along with a call for service in our district. This vehicle has proved to be a valuable tool assisting firefighter rehabilitation to prevent heat stress.

This evening, we recognized department members who took part in the Stop the Bleed training, allowing them to employ their skills in slowing and stopping active bleeding in patients. We are grateful for your dedication to our community. Chief Lamb
