This excited young man became the proud winner of a custom pastry basket crafted by the Tri- Development Center's Busy Bakers. This splendid basket was a door prize for last night’s Career & College Night event at the USCA Convocation Center. There were many great gifts for him to choose but he selected our delicious basket as his prize. To him we say, THANK YOU for picking us. Congratulations, happy eating, and best of success with your future.
Tri- Development Center's Busy Bakers prepped gift bags for South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, SC Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette, and all members of the South Carolina House and Senate to inform them of the critical staffing needs in our industry. Members from the South Carolina Human Service Provider Association (SCHSPA), to include TDC Executive Director Heather Waddell, delivered these bags on February 22nd. Each bag contained cookies from The Busy Bakers, coffee from MaxAbilities of York County (York County Roastery) and a message from the SCHSPA.
A production crew from WJBF NewsChannel 6 recently filmed a Local Living on 6 segment, Giving Local, featuring Tri- Development Center's Busy Bakers. Local Living host Ana Christina interviewed Bakery Supervisor Samantha Kimmel who detailed employment opportunities for the bakery employees while employees of the bakery were shown preparing baked items. Samantha also gave a brief overview of the services provided by Tri-Development and described bakery products made at The Busy Bakers. The segment can be viewed on our post below and also under the “Featured Series” tab on
www.wjbf.com. Thank you, Ana and WJBF News Channel 6 for helping us to tell our sweet story.

VOTE FOR TDC! Tri-Development Center has the pleasure to participate in the Festival of Trees at the Aiken Visitor’s Center and Train Museum (406 Park Avenue, SE). We have two, well-decorated trees that highlight two of the services we provide. Tri- Development Center's Busy Bakers has a sweet bakery themed large tree filled with baked items made by the bakery, hand-crafted decorations made by our individuals and staff, and cooking ornaments purchased at local stores. Feel free to reach in one of the measuring cups to take a coupon for our bakery products. We also have a smaller blue and silver Community Contract Tree decked with ornaments that feature the business logos of some of our valued community contracts.
We would love for you to stop by the Aiken Visitor’s Center and Train Museum, Monday - Saturday from 9am - 5pm, to vote both trees as your favorite themed trees. Voting begins today and ends on December 17th with the winner announced shortly after.
Also, while there, take an informative tour of The Visitor’s Center on the first floor then go upstairs to the Train Museum to learn how the railroad system played a significant role in South Carolina’s development. Thank you for your support and GO TDC!
