Hello you sweet things! It's been a minute (....3 months 😳) since you've heard from me. I have an announcement to make, some of you already know this and some of you may have already guessed.
I have made the very hard decision to close the bakery for the time being.
This decision was not made lightly nor without a lot of tears shed. But it is a decision that I feel is in the best interest for my family and my mental health.
I have not been the same since my mom passed away. She meant more to me than I could ever put into words. I was so busy with events and holidays in the months following her death that I didn't start to truly process my grief until around Christmas.
I decided in January to not renew my bakery license and to go back to work. I am once again working at the place I called home for 20 years, but this time instead of being your waitress I'm cooking your food! I absolutely love being in the kitchen, learning the ins and outs from a total badass (who also happens to be my best friend!), and it's done wonders to my mood being social and active again.
This is not the end of Pink Wing. I worked too hard for too long to throw in the towel. This is just a necessary break for the time being.
Thank you all for your continued support over the last few years, I couldn't have done any of this without all of you and I will be eternally grateful for that
