This little guy became my buddy last football season when we started carpooling, and somewhere along the way, he found a very special place in my heart. He is truly one of the happiest kids I know. Always smiling, always full of energy, and just an absolute joy to be around.
Even when the coaches were getting onto him at practice, he would just stand there with that big smile on his face. They’d say, “Why are you smiling?!” and he’d simply reply, “I can’t help it.” 😂 And honestly, that pretty much sums him up. He just can’t help but bring happiness with him wherever he goes.
Last year, I made this sweet boy his birthday cake, and this year he asked me to make his cake again. When I asked what he wanted, he told me, “Just the exact same cake as last year.”
I made him a football cake last year, so I told him, “How about I do you one better? We’ll keep the football theme, but let me come up with a whole new design just for you.”
And this is what I came up with!
I love getting to be a small part of making these kids’ birthdays special, but getting to make another cake for a kid who holds such a special place in my heart makes this one extra special.
