Feed Thy Neighbor

I’m a little late sharing this video from last week, but I want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has donated and helped us provide meals for families in our community.

This week, we provided meals for a family whose house had just burned down, several single moms—including one who had no idea how she was going to feed her kiddos—a family whose dog had been hit by a car while their children watched, and another family who simply needed a break. We have all been there.

We want to continue feeding more families each week. If you’d like to help, any amount makes a difference. My Venmo is Cookiequeenofabilene and make sure and put in the comment “Feed Thy Neighbor”.

It’s Tuesday- that means it’s FEED THY NEIGHBOR!!!

Dinner is ready, and it’s FREE for a family who could use one less thing to worry about tonight. Know anyone in need?!!!

This week’s meal includes:
Chicken Enchilada Casserole, Mexican Rice, Hot Sauce & Chips and of course… a bucket of Chocolate Chip Cookie dough!!

I am honestly blown away by the response to Feed Thy Neighbor. ❤️

So many of you reached out, shared the post and encouraged me-and I just want to say thank you!!!

Tonight, because of this little idea, we were able to feed a momma whose husband is currently in the hospital. With her kids starting school tomorrow, dinner was one less thing she had to worry about tonight!! That’s what it’s about! Do you know someone who can’t put food on the table, someone sick, someone who just had a baby, maybe a single momma- and maybe that person is YOU?!?! There is zero judgement here!

And it got me thinking…

What if, as a community, we all chipped in a little and helped provide meals for even more families who are walking through a difficult season?

Someone I don’t know sent me a Venmo tonight, and I started crying! I can’t wait to include that with next weeks Love Thy Neighbor meal! It gives us more people to feed! And food brings people together!

BOTH MEALS ARE SPOKEN FOR!!! This is my first post, of something I’d like to do weekly- and it’s not fully cookies! Ha!

I have 2 spaghetti dinners available today, and each one should easily feed 4–6 people. Each dinner includes spaghetti with meat sauce, green beans, garlic bread, and a “cookie bucket” to make your own chocolate chip cookies!

After taking some time away following the passing of my father-in-law, I’m slowly making my way back to baking and selling some goodies. ❤️ I’ve missed being in the kitchen and sharing treats with all of you, so I’m easing back into it one batch at a time.

And today’s batch is a good one! Would be a perfect treat when the kids get home or dessert after dinner!

I wanted to share why I’ve been a little quiet in the kitchen lately. Our family is walking through a difficult season as my father-in-law is battling stage 4 cancer. Our focus is on spending as much time as possible caring for him.

I’m so grateful for your support, your understanding, and for every order you’ve trusted me with over the years. Your kindness means more than you know.

I’ll be back in the kitchen when life allows, and I look forward to baking for you again. Until then, thank you for your patience, your prayers, and your continued support of our family.
