Well today something happened that every baker dreads. An accident. I mess up an order that was due in 2 hours, and i tried to fix it but failed. I havent had this happen before. I feel awful and gave the guy a 100% refund as well as his next order free (if he even wants to come back again). Anyone else have this happen, and what did you do, and when did you quit feeling the guilt?

A Quick Reminder on Bakery Policies! 🍰☕

​Hey everyone! As our little bakery grows, we’re are reminding everyone of a few official rules in place to keep things running smoothly and ensure everyone gets their treats on time!

​1️⃣ Payment Secures Your Order: All custom pre-orders require a minimum 50% payment upfront to reserve your spot on the calendar. Unpaid orders will not be baked or held.

2️⃣ No Payment = No Hold: Premade and flash-sale items are first-come, first-served and are only reserved once payment is received in full. Unpaid orders are not held until payment is received.

3️⃣ Mutual Respect Always: We run on kindness and good coffee! Abusive language or disrespect toward our business won't be tolerated, and orders will be canceled per our refund policy (50% non-refundable to book and buy ingredients).

4️⃣ Freebies & Extras: While I love spreading joy with the occasional surprise freebie, custom items and extra goods are not free on request.

​If you’ve been following along, you know how much heart and hustle I put into every single batch. Running a small home bakery is a journey with a lot of learning curves, and right now, hosting porch stands just isn't sustainable for my business or my family.

​So, I’m taking a step back to refocus! Moving forward, Jenn’s Cottage Bakery is returning to a daily pre-order model—no more porch stands.

​This pivot allows me to protect my time, eliminate wasted ingredients, and focus on two big goals: creating fun behind-the-scenes content for you all and planning our future mobile bakery trailer! 🚚✨

​Here is how you can still get your scratch-made favorites:
​⏰ 9:00 PM Cutoff: Place your pre-order by 9:00 PM the night before your desired pickup/delivery.

​💳 Payment: A 50% deposit or full payment is required at booking to lock in your slot.

​🥘 Full Pans Only: All baked goods (including giant cinnamon rolls with signature maple heavy cream frosting!) are sold by the full pan.

​☕ Flash-Chilled Coffee: Double-strength flash-chilled coffee can be added to any pastry order for morning pickup!

Dare to Dream is our way of taking yall with us on our journey to opening our Bakery trailer.

Dare to Dream has a double meaning; Daring to Dream that we can open a bakery trailer, and also Dare as in Truth or Dare.

I thought I only had to hold everything together for one week, but one week has turned into two. The support thus far has been amazing, and I thank yall SO much!

If you feel led to, we would apprechiate it so much to help us get through this next week until my husband can go back to work.

I do feel kind of like being kicked while I am down with my car battery deciding to go bad on me. Got that replaced this morning, but now I need to make up that money and more if I am going to be able keep my car, and phones and internet on so I CAN continue to doordash for money.

Last week yall helped me reach my goal for rent with $400 and thanks to yall we were able to do that in three days!

-We have to replace the $200 we used for the battery that was supose to be rent money.
-by the 4th, come up with $356 for car insurance. If i dont pay it, the company i finance my car through will get notified i dont have insurance and repo my car.
-Our Phones and internet will be shutting off in three days unless I can pay the $332 bill. Without my phone I cannot doordash money to try and keep my family together, nor can I make posts about porch Stand being open to earn money that way.

So my goal is $900 in 6 days.

I am continuing to take preorders for the following:

Soonest time for pickup/Delivery is 12hours from time order is placed.
