It’s time for a reminder.

You can disagree with another baker’s choices without disrespecting the baker.

You can dislike AI.
You can love AI.
You can prefer natural photography.
You can edit every photo you take.
You can bake from scratch.
You can start with a box mix.
You can have 20 years of experience or you can have started last Tuesday.

None of those things give us enough information to decide whether another person is talented, hardworking, professional, ethical, or deserving of success.

And somewhere along the way, I think social media has made us far too comfortable making those judgments about complete strangers.

Constructive criticism should help someone improve—not make them defend their worth.

There is an enormous difference between:
“I personally trust the first photo more because I can clearly see the actual product.”
and
“If you cared enough about your product, you'd put in the time and effort.”

One is feedback.

The other is an assumption about the person behind the picture.

And I think we can do better than that.

You don't have to run your bakery like I run mine. You don't have to use the tools I use. You don't even have to agree with me.

But I will continue to believe this:
We rise by lifting each other.

I will always want to see another baker succeed—whether it's with me, alongside me, or beyond me.

Maybe it's time we remembered that we're talking to actual human beings on the other side of these screens. ❤️
